Good afernoon, my husband is 54 and had penile graft surgery Sept 4. His swelling has almost all gone away but he is concerned about having numbness throughout his penis all but the tip and still has occasional pain. The Dr and NP said this will go away but I wondered if anyone else had this surgery and never had the numbness or pain go away which is his concern though its only been 7 weeks. I get it and I am concerned too since he has tried meds, Xiaflex, etc prior to the surgery. He had calcification which had to be cut out so not the usual plaque. He is diabetic which can make a difference in healing I assume. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Littlebird to the forum and if at all possible please have your husband get involved in the forum. Some guys are reluctant and embarrassed as to talking about their condition but we are all a bunch of men with the same condition sharing and talking about it. He should also fill out his signature line and then download our survival guide. If I can remember from previous postings regarding surgery it can take the nerves about a year sometimes to heal up and the patient regain penile sensitivity. I would reassure your husband that he is worrying about this and that does no good either.
