Hello,

I'm based in the UK.

I first noticed a bend which was quickly diagnosed as Peyronies about 4 years ago.

The bend is about 30 degrees and to the left (as I look down at it) and starts about a third the length from the base.

I can still achieve an erection and have intercourse, also I had reached the decent age of 55 where sex becomes less of an issue so I didn't find it as traumatic as many, understandably, do.

Initially, I did research and quickly found that the NHS and even my private health insurance wouldn't cover any investigation or treatments.  I looked at option myself and dismissing surgery, the only one at the time were the injections.  From what I read, results were questionable, there didn't seem to be a much medical evidence backing up any of the claims and there were even suggestions that it could make matters worse.  I did inquire all the same but the clinics was not very reassuring, it was very expensive and the clinics were not prepared to put any limit on the number of sessions that might be required - "just keep going, and paying, until you feel like giving up".  So I did not proceed with that.

Roll on 4 years and I have just completed a course of six shockwave treatments.  Each treatment included a 30 minute shockwave, a few seconds with a magnetic pulse coil and 30 minutes on a Tesla Chair (optional, nothing to do with Peyronies as such, this was to strengthen the pelvic floor).

Also supplemented with the following medication

Tadalafil - 5mg every other day
Acetal L-Canitine - 1g per day
Ubiquinol - 600mg per day
Vitamin D3 and K2 - 100ug each per day
Nattokinase - 1g per day

Also daily use of SomaTherapy pump - 4 times 2 minutes each separated by a 1 minute rest

My erections are fuller and more powerful, but I suspect that most of that is down to the Tadalafil and possibly the pump.  I'm sad to say that the bend has not improved at all.

I think the plaque did soften and become less painful after the application of the shockwaves but it is difficult to feel for sure because there was pain from the bruising of the skin.  But my last treatment was two weeks ago and the plaque now feels like it used to - so my conclusion is that if there was softening it was only temporary.

I've joined the forum to hear the experience of others, especially about treatments/devices that have proved successful.  I'm sure you all know that it only takes a little research to finds all manner of different treatments and devices along with wild claims - interested to hear whether there is any truth in the claims or whether it is all just snake oil.

I know this post is a year and a half old. My experience is similar to yours. I'm also from England.

Seeing the description in treatment you had regarding shockwave therapy, the tesla chair and SOMA pump I am pretty certain I used the same clinic as you based in Richmond in London.

I had no improvement in curvature either. My erections and libido improved which I put down to taking Tadalafil and VED.

These clinics all over the world happily take thousands from people. It's a scam as the experienced members on this forum will tell us as they've seen it time and time again.

This forum has been a huge help. There's a lot of sharks out there.
