I'm 44 and first noticed some discomfort when masturbating and having sex with my girlfriend in roughly May of this year. At first I could still have sex and masturbate without issue just slight discomfort. As a bend to about middle way down on the left of my shaft started occurring I went online and researched it and came across Peyronies, which up that point, didn't even know something like that could happen or existed. Went to a urologist about two months ago which was not comforting all as he just felt around said yes you have it so go home and take vitamin E everyday and come back and see me in six months. Over the past two months since my initial official diagnosis, the bend has gotten worse. I'm probably at a 25-30 degree bend. I still can masturbate although it is quite a chore due to the discomfort. Can no longer have sex though due to discomfort and not being able to maintain an erection long enough for entry. Wake up almost every night in striking pain due to a nocturnal erection. Severely depressed over everything as I'm sure most of us are as I don't know if it will get better, what the urologist will recommend when I go back for my next visit, and what will be covered by insurance, etc. Thanks for reading.
Age 44 Had symptoms about six months now. Officially diagnosed by a urologist about two months ago. Taking vitamin E supplements until next visit which is in about four months.

I would not be satisfied with that urologists assessment. He might be correct in the diagnosis, but he's obviously no Peyroines expert. That wait and see approach is ridiculous, as is the recommendation about vitamin E. Wikipedia states that Vitamin E had been studied for decades and older studies showing some benefit, but newer studies not being able to reproduce that benefit. You need a Peyroines specialist. The guy you saw was obviously not one.

Vitamin E supplementation has been studied for decades, and some success has been reported in older trials but those successes have not been reliably repeated in larger, newer studies.[16]"  Mynderse LA, Monga M (October 2002). Hang in there..it feels like the pain will never end. I was in terrible pain both flaccid and erect. It hurt just rubbing in my pants. I still get a little sore if I overdue it now but it's much better.. I stabilized at about 6 months. The changes stopped for me when the flaccid pain subsided.. the boner pain lingered a little after

Thanks guys. Been reviewing the different forums. Will definitely report more as I progress. I know there is a doctor somewhat close that specializes in ED and Peyronies. During my urologist visit he said that he would refer me to him at the next meeting, assuming things have not improved, which they have not. The urologist mentioned that surgery or certain corrective measures would be discouraged until around a year into having the disease to make sure it has moved to the chronic phase.
