Severed frenulum during surgery causes loss of sensation and ED?

I've posted before about a surgery i had a while back that didn't work out so well for me. One of the main problems I've had post surgery is ED and loss of sensation I used to have on the underside of the penis.

During the surgery I had for Curvature and rare form of torsion, they cut right through the frenulum which used to be the main source of sensation I used to get to achieve erection. I used to get an intense sensation anytime I'd get aroused that made getting erection effortless, but now it's completely numb.  To get an erection now I need lots of manual stimulation and the second the manual stimulation stops I lose it.

Multiple doctors told me that it's in my head and that severing the frenulum wouldn't cause these issues but I can't believe that cause I feel the difference. It's literally night and day. It's mentally very challenging to live with as I wish I never had the surgery.

Has anyone ever heard or experienced something like this. I feel like doctors aren't aware of many issues that can arise during these type of surgeries which is dangerous and not smart.

On a side note I was already circumcised before the surgery.
Hi, I'm a 34 year old male with a rare form of penile torsion. It's so rare no urologist has been able to properly diagnose it. I had surgery at 18 which did not fix the problem and has given me some other lingering problems.

I'm sure you lost tons of nerve connections.  However, with time sensations can return...I've heard of taking as long as a year.

When I was 35 I had a vasectomy, around four months after the vasectomy I developed ED, "Doctors" told me it was all in my head. Doctors screwed men daily with surgeries and the always blame us.
My first symptoms started early in 2019
I tried Traction device, Pentofixiline, Q10, TRT, L-Argenine, cialis
I have narrowing/dent/hinge on the left side of my shaft
My ED is getting worse
Had a PRP shot Aug 2021
I have a girlfriend
Age 46

It's really baffling to me that experts in this field seem to not believe that nerve endings don't play any part in getting an erection. They claim that as long as blood flow is normal and testosterone is good that you're fine. I was explained of many possible complications that could happen but not once did they mention loss of sensation and severed nerves.

But I guess if it was common to lose this much sensation that more people would complain so maybe I was just really unlucky? It's hard to even understand.

I know once you lose nerves like that you can't get them back but is there any treatment or options available to help at all?

I know what you're talking about. Did you ever had phimosis before your circumcision? I always had a bit of phimosis (and a short frenulum) but after my injury it got much worse, making it even more difficult (and painful) to push my foreskin to clean under it.

Earlier this year, a few days before my third appointment with an urologist (due to the hard flaccid and pelvic floor problems I've talked about in my threads), I was trying to clean my penis and ended up pushing the foreskin a bit too much throughout the cleansing. Since that day my phimosis seems a bit better but I most likely severed my frenulum. I know this is not the same thing as a surgery but my symptoms are similar to yours: loss of sensation and I can't get erections as easily as before (although I don't think I have ED).

After almost 3 years of being depressed due to my hard flaccid, now I also have to deal with this.

I really hope TonySa is right and all sensations will return with time (so far, it's been 3 months and I haven't noticed any recovery).

Unfortunately my surgery was a long time ago so sensation defiantly not coming back. I didn't have phimosis but I had the surgery for a rare form of torsion which I still have. Yeah I can also still get a erection it's just not the same and harder to achieve. It all sucks but I try and keep a positive attitude.
