Hi all,

Happy I found this forum and to know that I am not alone in this...

I am 27 y/o and was born with a congenital curvature (upwards and to the left). It was manageable but always a cause of insecurity since my teenage years. Following several minor traumas from sex due to the congenital curvature (i.e. not being careful during rough or drunk sex) I also developed Peyronies... Given the prexisting condition and the Peyronies, sex became quite difficult if not impossible but I tried nonetheless. It wasn't until I was about to have sex and a girl fled after seeing my fully erect penis that I decided I needed to do something about it.

In Dec 19, I had NESBIT surgery preformed by a relatively well-known surgeon in New York. The surgery at first seemed to be a success (little length lost, significant reduction in curvature) but the curvature has worsened over the past several months and now I think I need to have a second operation.

I have had intercourse once since my initial surgery, assisted by Viagra. I am still able to get natural erections but chose to use drugs to assist because of stage fright due to insecurities concerning the curvature. The sex was painfully awkward and I was not able to finish due to discomfort the entire time. My curvature is still about 30 degrees to the left, and 60 degrees upwards and my penis is slightly rotated (about 10 degrees to the left).

Ironically I have never had more opportunities for sex than in the past few months but cannot follow through because of my condition. I am hoping that a second surgery will get me to a place where I am at least functional, even if it costs me length. I am so emotionally distraught because of this disease and sometimes wonder if it is even worth it to continue onwards in life, knowing that I may never be able to satisfy a women or have a family.

At this point I have given up hope of ever having casual sex again but pray that I can at least get to a point where my penis is enough to satisfy a loving and understanding partner.

Happy to answer any questions about my initial surgery or anything else. Hoping that this forum will be a good resource to understand that I am not alone...

Welcome Man, I hope you find the support and some of the answers you need here on the forum.

I struggled with Erectile Dysfunction following a radical prostatectomy.  I fought various stages of Erectile Dysfunction and then Peyronies Disease from injections.  in total my battle lasted 15 years so I tried everything in every combination.

I never had surgery however until my implant surgery with was like turning the clock back 30 years for me. I know you are young and maybe another plication or graft would be your best choice IF you can get sufficiently firm erections to have good non-damaging sex for the next 5-10 years even if it requires daily Cialis.  If you can't then I would jump to an implant now.  You can have sex without revealing it if it is a one-night stand.  I guess you could go longer term keeping it a secret but men I know who are single indicate it is pointless since women loved the idea.  Dr. EID says he has one patient that has been married for 4 years and his wife still does not know.

An implant will fix all deformity and Erectile Dysfunction with one out patient surgery.   We have a board on the Erectile Dysfunction section dealing exclusively with implants that is full of great information.

Best wishes working through these decisions.

Isn't too early to bringing an implant up?

My friend, choose carefully because every surgery you get higher is the risk of getting complications.
31 yrs old
Severe congenital curvature. 3 straightening surgeries
Big lump/stitch w/ left deviation after 2012 surgery
Severe ED after last one in 2014. Still crooked
Slightly improved w/ shockwave therapy
Looks like only one side of my penis works

It is never too early to bring up the consideration of an implant IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING SURGERY AS HE IS.

Consider that you cannot find a man with a functional implant that does not wish he would have considered it earlier, not one.  It is amazing that the only ones to feel differently are those that have no experience with an implant.

Hawk thank you for the reply and for sharing details of your experience battling this disease.

I am hesitant to get another surgery, and definitely hear Jacks concerns, but what I have now is not working and I don't think traction or vacuums etc. will be able to fix it - so surgery feels like the only option...

Ideally, a second Nesbit could fix the curvature without much loss of length - that way I can still get natural erections. That being said, I have had the surgery performed already and the results left a lot to be desired.

I will be honest, I was very reluctant to the idea of an implant at first - I think there is a stigma to having a pump - but after watching videos of how it works discreetly and your comments about fixing form and function I am highly considering it...

I feel as though I am too young to have an implant but maybe that is the wrong way to look at it. The last thing I want is to do another unsuccessful Nesbit and have to have surgery a third time.

If the form and function are fixed and I can perform - I actually think an implant would be fine and that women would not mind either. Strangely enough it is really male friends and family that worry me the most about an implant in the sense that they would look at me differently but I guess none of them would need to know...

Again thank you for the reply, really appreciate you and this forum.

Why Nesbit?
Forgive my ignorance, but aren't there better methods? Like Egydio Technique.
1993 born. Brazil.
Peyronies since Sep 2019.
Penis developed curvature, lots of plaque, loss of size and axial rigidity. Severe peyronie.
Mar/21 TEP + Titan Touch 20 cm + 1.5 RTE.

Surgery done by Dr. Marco Tulio Cavalcanti, in São Paulo.

I did not know about the Egydio Technique but will surely ask the urologist.. Nesbit was what the surgeon initially recommended and I took their word for it - but now wish I had done more research prior.

Something that I've learned throughout the years is: always try to find the best surgeons. I had a surgery for deviated septum, and the doctor wasn't good. Result: I'm breathing better but he made my nose crooked inside. I need another surgery.

It's a shame that urologists do Nesbit nowadays. There are better solutions for sure. Nesbit is an old and outdated procedure.
I recommend you read the blog of Egydio. Put everything on google translator and you'll be able to read.

Here he discuss about his technique 2.0
Seems a very good technique, it doesn't use graft and recover some lost length.
