Quote from: ruff on June 23, 2022, 05:47:14 PMHey guys. I finally took a look at my penis fully erect today- 2 weeks post op from Tunica Albuginea Plication (TAP) with Dr Levine. Went from 60 degrees down and left curve to...COMPLETELY STRAIGHT!!!7 years of suffering, depression, anxiety and worry about my future. I now feel like a new person. I wish I did this surgery a long time ago.I lost only 0.5 cm in length. Barely anything. I just hope it stays straight now. Also, I highly recommend Dr. Levine. Cant stress how amazing of a doctor he is.Still have to wait 4 more weeks before having sex. Man it's tough to wait, but nothing compared to the last 7 years.Happy to answer more questions and help out anyone in this community to the best of my abilities.
Quote from: Alex83 on June 23, 2022, 08:03:09 PMWoW what good news, it's really great for you after all that you survived, hoping your recovery continues to go well!Do you have any permanent or absorbable sutures inside the penis from your TAP surgery?
Quote from: ruff on June 26, 2022, 02:57:53 PMThank you! Yes I have 2 permanent sutures and about 4-6 absorbable sutures.
Quote from: jj21 on June 27, 2022, 04:34:50 AMWow congrats!Happy you have found a solution!Keep up updated on how your Erectile Dysfunction and everything is now? Is thre any reason why you didn't opt for the implant?J
Quote from: Alex83 on June 27, 2022, 10:06:54 AMHas Levine allowed you to do traction with your 2 permanent stitches , or are you planning on not doing any?
Quote from: Mikel7 on June 29, 2022, 11:39:26 AMTo help the healing of your circumcision I would suggest using a healing skin oil like Palmers --> https://www.vitacost.com/palmers-cocoa-butter-formula-with-vitamin-e-skin-therapy-oil-5-1-fl-oz?ta=palmers+cocoa+butter+oil&t=palmers+cocoa+butter+oil . I have used this for years to almost eliminate scars and skin blemishes.
Quote from: ruff on June 29, 2022, 11:08:36 AM3 Weeks Post OP Update:Everything is going well so far. I am straight and having great erections. I have not had sex yet as I am not allowed to until 6 weeks post op. There is still swelling under my glands where the circumcision was made. I was told it could be 4-5 months before it completely goes away. It doesn't bother me much, just looks kind of ugly. I have been doing stretch therapy everyday for 5-10 min 2x/ day. I have also been stimulating erections each day. These are per the post op care protocol from Dr. Levine. Sensation is intact.Something that was a bit concerning was that I did notice a very slight indentation/ hourglass shape on the left side. It is hardly noticeable as you have to look really close to see it. Basically, the shaft narrows very slight from distal to proximal on the shaft (perhaps where the plaque is). I called Dr. Levine's fellow to ask about it. He said its probably just swelling and check back in a month and he said they didn't see any hourglass during surgery. He said he's never heard of an hourglass happening after plication. However, even if this is permanent, it really doesn't bother me as it is very minor. Now if it gets worse that will be an issue. Also, if anyone is a part of the FB group, please let them know I was banned. I guess it was because so many people messaging me with pictures.Overall, still very happy. I really feel like a new person. I'm so happy I had this surgery after delaying it 3 times. It is so scary to have a surgery like this, but so far it was 100% worth it. Words can't describe how I feel now. My depression and anxiety has pretty much gone away. Hope this helps everyone, let me know if there are any questions. Ill continue to update. Also, Ill be posting before/ after pictures eventually for those who would like to see the results.

You will soon put all these problems in the garbage! One day I hope to be in your shoesAre your circumcision sutures gone? Are your internal sutures palpable?
Quote from: Luker11 on July 13, 2022, 11:15:19 AMHi Ruff, (I sent also a private message but I send you a message also here to be sure you can read it)I read your situation, I'm very happy that you find the solution and I hope to do the same, for this reason I wanna ask something to understand more about what operation I can do cause also for me Levine is the best choice:1 what is the different between tap and incision with graf, do you thought about this operation with Levine?2 does you penis return as before peyronie?3 does Levine offered you different method to operate on you?I'll be very happy if you can answer this question
Quote from: Vic- on July 17, 2022, 09:08:21 AMHi Ruff, I've been reading your thread and I feel very related to you. I'm also late 20's but in my case my 60° ventral curvature was congenital. I did the same operation as you just one week before you (I'm now on day 50 of recovery). What you're defining is almost exactly what is happening to me. My penis was completely straight in the first week after the operation but now is bending 10-15° towards its original shape. As long as it stays there I will consider it a "feature" of my old self, so that's fine. The thing that is really bugging me is the indentation, in my case also on the left side about mid shaft. I would say it's hardly noticeable if you don't pay too much attention to it but it's definitely visible. Same as you, as long as it stays there, no big deal. The thing that is freaking me out is that the area is kind of more sensitive, and it disturbs me a little, but I cannot yet tell for sure if this mild discomfort is just psicological or it is real. Can you feel this too?The pain in my case has almost completely go away during the erections, but it still hurts when trying to penetrate (which is not possible without lots of lube) and when I'm standing (in this case is like the tip of my penis has "weight" and the middle shaft is fighting the gravity to keep it up). Also, during my sleep I have prolonged erections that they seem to never stop. This prevented me from sleep the first two weeks. Now that the erection itself is not painful I feel like the erections last for hours and eventually I wake up like "Hey mate would you stop it!!??". I have to sit down or stand up to stop it but as soon as I go back to sleep it starts again. At first I thought this happened because of lack of sex and the fact that my girlfriend sleeps next to me makes my subconscious to start the engine. But the other night we had sex just before going to sleep and I still had this erections anyway... I feel like I need a break here, I don't know if it is possible to prevent erections while sleeping?By the way, can you put on the condoms you used to use before the operation? For my is literally impossible, they don't fit anymore and on top of it is super difficult to roll them down past the cuting line of the prepuce (which is cured, but still looks kind of ugly as you said).A big hug mate. I hope things work its way through fine for both of us. Let me know if there is anything. Since I'm one week ahead of you I may be able to predict.
Quote from: Alex83 on July 21, 2022, 12:25:20 PMThat's great for you! Everything is going as planned! Why do you want to use a traction device ? Didn't your length come back naturally?
Quote from: chrisaaa7 on July 21, 2022, 12:44:32 PMCongrats man! Everyone can Really see how happy you are from this and how much this has changed your life. I hope that everything continues to go well and you have a great life
Quote from: Vic- on July 22, 2022, 01:31:37 AMThanks for your answer and very glad to read your 6 week post-op update! I'm on week 8 post-op and things are going at a slower pace than you but also improving. No way I'm having sex twice in a day!! After it I feel it a bit sore which makes me call it a day. I checked with my doctor about the indentation and he told me that it all looks fantastic and perfectly in the normal-average realm given the situation. He also told me that experiencing discomfort is possible even in month 6 or so, so I guess my recovering is just a bit slower (and perhaps the girth thing doesn't help since I had already a fair amount of it before operation, which increases pressure during intercourse.)It surprises me the amount of information that you are given regarding the healing process (like erections at night should keep coming because is good). In my case, my doctor is like this was no big deal and asked me to not worry about my penis and act normal, just do things gently. He didn't give any kind of exercises, things to keep in mind or anything else apart from: Wash and apply iodine on the cut line every 24 hours in the first 3 weeks and cleared me for sex (even masturbation) on a visit in day 38.I guess the indentation thing is freaking me out unnecessarily, everything else is actually fine and I'm happy with the outcome so far. Thanks Ruff, keep us updated!!
Quote from: Vic- on August 03, 2022, 12:37:29 PMHi Ruff, how are things going? For me things seem to have stabilized, even though there is still mild pain during intercourse (specially when I'm near to eyaculatiton). 10 weeks post-op.There's still this "phantom" discomfort about the indentation site when flaccid, but I only notice it when thinking about it, so I'm not sure if this is just then power of the mind. It is not getting worse as for now.
Quote from: joavyer on August 15, 2022, 01:22:30 PMHi ruff, I have one questionI also had the TAP procedure 18 days ago, and the thing that worries me is that, when erect, my penis is very stiff in a sense that I can't move it around that much (or at all). For example, when laying on my back, during erection it is pointing towards my head, and I literally can't move it away (for example, to point towards the ceiling). It hurts a lot, everything seems stiff and tight, and my erection then quickly dies down, and only then can I move it away. Did you encounter something similar? Does it get better?
Quote from: joavyer on August 19, 2022, 04:52:29 AMI see thank you. Well at this point, the only position that seems "impossible" to me is cowgirl if the girl is on top, because as I said I can't move my penis away from my body. It seems because that third erectile tissue that runs from the bottom all the way (the corpus spongiosum, where the urethra is), is now as stiff as it gets, and doesn't give me any room to move the penis away. At least currently I hope that it hurts too much because of the healing? And that it will relax as both of you saidThanks again for the answer!
Quote from: joavyer on August 19, 2022, 06:42:01 PMWow, great answer, thank you Vic, definitely helps to know what to expect in the coming weeks. I did have one more problem, but I guess if you didn't face this issue there wouldn't be much to ask youApproximately 5 days ago, I felt one of my plication sutures pop under my hand during a morning erection. It was one of the first feelings I ever felt, and my erection instantly died down at that point. I called the doctor's office, and one of the associates over there told me that "it's normal, don't worry about it, and see you on our scheduled chekup in a few weeks"After I calmed down a little bit, the next few days kinda remained the same, i.e. I was still having night/morning errections, with less pain each day, so I guess nothing major happened. But I do notice now a bit of a hinge at one side where I felt the pop, and the shape of my penis in the flaccid state is now anything but straight/normal (one side is shorted, one part in the middle sticks up, I can feel a different texture underneath compared to the rest of the penis). During erections it seems ok though. I have no idea whether I should worry about this or how much, but at this point I can only wait for my scheduled checkup in 10 days and see with the doctor what's going on
Quote from: thecrookedone on August 21, 2022, 11:10:30 AMHey Vic and ruffGlad to hear both your recovery is coming along well. I had the surgery about 10 days ago. I have a couple of questions of both of you.Did you experience any retraction of your penis ?Did you feel like your penile length improved over the course of your recovery? Like i feel now i have lost half of my penis length. I knew i was going to have a lesser size but it seems like too much loss. Am i setting my expectations high ? Or does it improve over time? Thanks
