Hello, I'm 70 and had a radical prostatectomy 3 years ago which left me incontinent and with Erectile Dysfunction. I'm cancer free and had an artificial sphincter(AMS800) implanted 2 years ago to take care  of the incontinence. Viagra and Cialis helped with the Erectile Dysfunction, but wasn't always reliable. On top of all that I also developed Peyronies since the AMS800 surgery with a curve on the left side at the bottom of my penis. My doctor has recommended an implant to correct the curve and Erectile Dysfunction. He showed me 2 implant types, the 3 piece and the 2 piece. I like the 2 piece since the pump is smaller and I already have another pump in my scrotum to press when I need to piss. My surgery is scheduled for 12/16 and was wondering if any others here have had the 2 piece implanted and are they happy with it?

I would get the three piece.  I personally spoke to a man who had a Titan and the AMS800 sphincter and it was no problem.

The two piece is VERY rarely used.  As a matter of fact I have never known of a man on this or other forums that had it.  While like many I would not say the two-piece implant has no place in the modern  era of medicine, anyone who can get a three piece implant should get one. ( BTW I too had a prostatectomy).

Thanks Hawk I appreciate your input.  I agree with you that the 3 piece seems to be the most popular one used, but when seeing both side by side for comparison the pump for the 2 piece is I think a lot smaller. There's only so much room in the sack for implant pumps and the balls. I was hoping to hear from someone on this site with the 2 piece, but like you said not many if any here have one. Hopefully someone will respond, I have a couple of weeks to make my decision.

I can assure you that there is not a single two-piece implant on this forum.

I would have MANY concerns about a two piece and in essence you would be a test case on this forum if you got one.  I would be nerverous about that role since the LAST thing I would want is a do-over surgery that I could avoid.

Concerns.

Since the 2 piece is deflated with nothing but bending or squeezing pressure for 10 seconds to activate the valve isn't it likely to occasionally self deflate?
Since it has limited fluid it rigidity to bending force has to be less than the AMS and much less than a Titan.  This would be an even greater concern if the implant has to correct a deformity.
With no reservoir your penis will never be totally drained not causing a constant semi-erect state.  This increases the risk of erosion which is a concern with a solid bendable implant.  Those with 3-piece implants are warned about leaving them partially pumped on a regular basis for this very reason.  You might also find a semi-erection problematic in clothes swim wear, and in public locker-rooms.

PS: How many implants does your surgeon do a year and do you have any clue of the ratio of 2-piece to 3-piece?  Also are you locked in to your surgeon and have you asked questions?  Here is a link on questions to ask for your consideration. https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php?topic=10810.0

Thanks for the advice Hawk. After much thought and research I have decided to go with the 3 piece implant. My surgeon is going to implant the AMS700CX because he feels it will give me the best penile length and rigidity for erections and also correct the Peyronies bend I have now.

I am so happy you are making a decision and going forward.  I don't want my comments to give you too much pause, but I personally would push for a Titan if your surgeon implants them.  Not only superior rigidity (won't buckle or bend) and great girth if you are larger than 5" girth.  Of greatest interest is a noticeably smaller pump without the square block shape.  Men who have had both notice the smaller pump, and with two pumps, I would think you would appreciate the little extra room.  It is not a deal changer, but now is the time to think about it, not after it is in.

Of course, after it is in, you will have a lot more pleasant things to think about :)
