Hey guys. I'm a 27 y/o male that noticed something odd with my penis about 3 months ago. I have a sudden 20-30 degree bend to the left and a dent on the top part of my shaft right where the penis starts to bend. I don't recall any injuries. I've been in a relationship for almost 4 years and I showed her and she's downplayed it as "it's not that bad." We've slowed down on having sex as I'm really not sure where to go from here. The research I've done is pretty disheartening, but I've decided I need to nut up and face the music to try and prevent this from getting worse.

I have not had an office visit with a urologist yet, but have an appointment with a GP this week. Should I bring up my concern with him and ask for a recommendation, or seek a urologist myself? I have already purchased an X4 while it's on sale, Acetyl L-Carnitine and CoQ10 as preperation. What should I suspect for the first uro appt?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm still feeling pretty helpless with a bit of denial, and too much research into it is not very motivating.  :-\

Hey there, as a 25 year old I can relate to the stress of getting this at a young age. If I WEre you I would seek out a uro directly (unless your Insurance requires you get a referral) however MAKE SURE you find one that is specialized in PDS. Do not go to a general urologist and if you need a referral then make sure to bring the name of the PDS specialist to your appointment. My regular uro replied to my concerns by saying "it can't be that you're too young", someone who is familiar with the disease will know how to diagnose and help you plan out some treatment. Best of luck and feel free to message me if you need to chat, we are all in this together!

What alternatives did he suggest? I'm afraid there aren't any doctors listen on the association's website, but one in my area listed on one of the posts in this forum and another one that lists Peyronies on their website. I'm certainly open to suggestions other that peyronies, but my symptoms seem to be pretty spot on.

"Inflammation".. whether it is or it isn't "textbook PDS" it manifests itself in different ways and should likely be treated as such - per my current Uro who is great and an expert in the areaZ where are you located? Have you checked out the doctors list on the forum?!0

If you ask your doctor, you are obligated to see who he recommends. You can ask for a suggestion, but would also encourage you to do your own homework. There are many stories here of first time visits and talking to urologists who are not familiar with Peyronies.
