I'm back for the time being, I was almost to the point of suicide a few months ago and have been going through a lot of things earlier this year.  Of course very little support on the home front but I have been put on an antidepressant.

Transplanted lungs are still doing well, but my peyronies hasn't responded to xiaflex either and the plaques have just gotten worse.  My only option now is an implant. I know this would be the end of my marriage because she is repulsed at the idea and I was told I could lose pretty much half my length. So of course she is going to look for satisfaction elsewhere now.   I'll go ahead and get it done because I'm tired of dealing with this and having to stand sideways to pee at times.  But I'll be too embarrassed to ever be intimate again.

Sending you love and understanding. Why surgery to correct the Peyronie's is not an option before an implant?

I usually try not to comment on family issues, but if she is repulsed by the idea, then she is probably not your woman. She would not be able to tell the difference from outside. You deserve all the support from your loved ones. If you don't get it, get out of there. Just MHO.

Too many plaques and in addition to curving to the side,  it also curves up.   It's in really bad shape and I'm reminded everytime I use the bathroom.  I hate this,  it's certainly not life threatening as my lung disease was,  but it certainly is making my life miserable.  Other family members don't even care and think it's not really a big deal.   Easy for them to say they don't have to live with it everyday.

There are a few posters here with a very good level of knowledge on implants. I am not one of them, but I have taken the liberty of adding 'Implant' into the thread title in the hope that some of those posters will visit this thread.

As far as I know though, losing half your length is not a common result. Some people even gain length. Also there are some useful tactics that you can employ to increase the chances of maintaining length - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4708606/
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

I can certainly relate to the "bathroom nightmare" when you look at your little fella an you see a deformation that you just can't accept. But there is always hope. I have recovered my erections now, but I still have a nasty deformation that, however, goes away when fully erect. Mine is only present in flaccid and semirigid/semierect.

Dr. Kuehhas told me that the only solution is to use Phallosan Forte and VED combined to make the fibrosis to expand like normal tissue and little by little re-shape your penis again, making it bigger in al directions, what can take 6 months, or a year, but it is worth it. So I recently started wearing it on for 8 hours a day. I won't worry about anything else until 6 months from now.

All I am saying is that there are things you can try before going for an implant. If you already tried all of those, then an implant is a good and permanent solution that works well for the majority of the cases. Look at this thread about a member who just had an implant: The Beginning Of My Journey - Peyronies Society Forums

Good luck.

No need for nothing of that.  Check this site urologicalcare.com He is one of the best in the world, and you should read his whole site. You should not loose, any, length, with a proper surgeon.

Calm, down

QuoteI usually try not to comment on family issues, but if she is repulsed by the idea, then she is probably not your woman.
Second, your statement bellow is completely wrong:
Quote...I could lose pretty much half my length

Please follow my thread "the beginning of my journey" under Surgery for Peyronies.  It walks you through what I went through while considering an implant and my final decision to go ahead with it.  The best decision I made was going ahead with the implant.

And yes Frant Talk is an excellent site for those suffering with ED.

Best of luck to you

Seriously...? I don't mean to be cruel but I don't understand what your marriage is based on. Even if I couldn't get an erection, I could still find ways to pleasure my wife. And finding new ways is half the fun.

And second, with an implant, you could get hard and satisfy her any time she wanted.

Sorry, but I don't understand.
