Hello, I'm 20 years old and had a nesbit procedure done for my congenital curvature (50 degrees left). The surgery is now 8 days ago and I've been out of hospital for 3 days.
So far I am somewhat satisfied with the result, I still have over 6 inches left and my penis is very straight, besides being a bit swollen and the stitches being very noticeable.

I have problems with nocturnal errections every night which are incredibly painful. I barely get four hours of sleep at the moment. While I am certain that this will improve once the disolvable stitches under the glans come off, I still got my urologist to prescribe me androcur for two weeks.
This leads to my main question, for the first one or two weeks you should avoid errections for healing, but after that wouldn't the stretching help with avoiding scar tissue? I recently had a different surgery which healed terribly with a wide scar.
Obviously I don't want this to happen, my penis is straight right now, if scar tissue forms post surgery it would just bend to the other side. Should I stop taking androcur and just let the errections happen? Are there other ways to avoid internal scar tissue or atleast minimize the effect?

Hey throwawaybendydick --

The link to my recovery from nesbit plication (had surgery in June 2016) is in my signature block, you might find some help there.

I discussed "scar tissue" with the specialist who helped me, and think "circumcision." Scar tissue is not an issue. Of course, I'm making a HUGE assumption that your surgeon cut you in just under the glans. Today, one cannot visibly tell I even had surgery.  There's not a shred of observable evidence.

I haven't posted a pic of my dick in my diary in a while, I will soon. I can just assure you that if a person was looking at my dick and didn't know I had plications done in June, they would be clueless that I had been cut in June.

Erections seemed like a logical concern to me where the plications were concerned, but the surgeon has done several thousand of these and he was 1000% confident that erections weren't an issue with his handiwork. And, in the end, erections randomly 24/7 for the first weeeeeeeeks post-surgery had no impact on the plications.

I took no medications to prevent erections. In fact, I wanted the assurance that erections were still happening. My erections were raging, titanium. Psychologically challenging, for sure. I was certain I was going to bust a plication. The surgeon assured me that he'd never had a bust. By the way, today, I barely notice there are plications. My dear sweet wife states she has no awareness of them whatever during sex.

The ultimate answer to your question: Yes, there are alternatives. As a plan B, if my experience defied the math and I ended up being 1 in 10 million who had scar tissue in the foreskin area under the glans from this particular approach, my naturopathic doctor offers a particular series of shots that will break up post-surgery scar tissue. PM for details on that. But, again, you'd have to be the 1 in 10 million. I had a hernia operation in February 2016, different kind of skin and muscle, and YES I have a scar from the hernia surgery that is STILL nice and...well...scar like. The difference between the two sites is night and day.

Glad to hear you are doing good so far!

I'm not that concerned about the circumcision scar, more the possibility of scaring in the erectile body from the surgery. Since the penis is very straight now, I fear to much scar tissue could undermine the current result.
But you are right, I should be more thankful that I have erections and no numbness so far, means that the nerves are okay, even if sleeping is difficult.

Also, how likely is suture failure 10 days after surgery?
