I would like to share my experience with shockwave therapy and get some feedback from the members. A bit of back story , I have been dealing with ED issues for quite some time now and over time I had realized that Peyronie's could be something I have as i have symptoms of hardened veins, indentation on one side and a slight curve that came after ED. I have been to many doctors, one expert even in Peyronie's and not one has confirmed Peyronie's. Shockingly they just give me Cialis and said that is all they can do for me, I asked for tests to conform or at least pinpoint a more direct cause of the ED but nothing. So I didn't know if initially had venous leak or fibrosis. Very frustrating. So I then went to a private Clinic in Canada that performed shockwave therapy. I had been reading about studies that had very promising outcomes in treating ED. I was at a point that I couldn't have sex without Cialis so I spoke to the doctor about trying this procedure. He said that he wasn't sure if it would work for me but he would do it if I was okay with losing money if it didn't work. At that point I just wanted to anything that could give me a way of curing ED and with shockwave he told me that it has been proven to create new blood vessels in the penis. He quoted an 80% success rate in clients.  I was due for 6 sessions and I started my first one several months ago. The session was what you would expect I laid down and he moved the shockwave handle all over my penis. I did feel some needling type pain in some areas and attributed that to the plaque being hit with the shockwave. After that first session I wasn't sore but I did feel that I had some instant loss of sensation in my penis. My next session was the following week and with some further research I became worried about the level of injury that the shockwave was causing and if it could make the condition worse.  The week leading up to the second session I began noticing a drop off in the quality of erections with Cialis. Again something that was a bit troubling. My next session the following week I asked the doctor his experience I'm treating clients with Peyronie's. He said that he saw a few and although they didn't improve their curvature they all had better erections. I asked him about shockwave causing collagen or fibrosis as it may do when used in other parts of the body and he simply said that "it's different collagen". So I had my second session and it was pretty much like the first. A couple days later I could not perform sex even with Cialis. I became worried that something was wrong with the shockwave therapy. I went back to the doctor and he said that it was not possible that they shockwave could cause problems as I had only had 2 out of 6 sessions. I was aware that any benefits had to have at least 6 session bit was worried. Feeljng so uncomfortable I then walked away from the treatment, it clearly was making me too uncomfortable to continue. Since the therapy stopped months ago I noticed that I do have some new superficial veins and vessels on the skin of my penis but I also noticed ridges on the top of the shaft that are concerning me that it may be fibrosis. I am unsure of shockwave caused this but with my severe ED it leaves me very confused as to what gas happened. I plan on going back to see the doctor again but he didn't have any other solutions for me when we last spoke.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm really sorry about it and I wonder what happened. My greatest fear is that shockwave therapy is merely a treatment since it's profitable. You would think that traction and VED would be more popular, but it can't make the doctors any money can it? It's sickening just thinking about it, and the same reason why I just drink coffee instead of take pentox.

Now that being said, I haven't looked at shockwave research at all. Each treatment deserves to be viewed in isolation and this is one I'm not knowledgable on. 80% sounds like a big number. Did you increase your sexual activity recently, or is there any other reason this could have happened? I'll start reading the research.

Thanks for your reply neo. I will say that during treatment I was sexually active with a partner at the beginning while I still had response to the Cialis. maybe the increase in he activity combined with the shockwave was a bad idea. I told the doctor this and he didn't say to stay away from sex or masturbation. He just told me not to take Advil. I know that this is a treatment gaining popularity in his office as there were other patients getting the treatment done in the office before me but I am now too suspicious of the doctor as he did not provide much insight into the success of the treatment. All he told me was that it can create new blood vessels, that would treat ED at the root. Studies have mostly been very positive on this treatment for ED, somewhat conflicting for Peyronie's and a few are negative ones also for general use. This is a somewhat reputable clinic as well so this is all a strange situation

Shockwaves did make my condition worse, I got scam

You sure the shockwave did it? Because from all I have read literally all across the internet it's reported shockwave literally does nothing for the condition.

It's just a useless money making scam from doctors. However I never heard anyone get worse from it, just that it does absolutely nothing.
30 years. Sudden rightwards curve detected in June 2020
Narrowing on right side and about a 20° curve to the right.
ED + instability due to narrowing.
