Hello all,

I'm a 25 yr old who is in a serious long term relationship. I have had ED problems (most likely PIED) for around 2 years and recently I have noticed a slight angle at the very base in my penis when its flaccid. There is no real curve but when I wake up in the morning my guy will be pointing to the right as opposed to straight like I've always known him to do. When I do get an erection there is no pain, no curve but afterwards I will notice again the flaccid penis pointing to the right, although the shaft itself is straight. I guess its like if you pictured a perpendicular line straight out in front of you, turn it slightly to the right so that its maybe 50 degrees...thats what its like if that helps.  I havent felt or seen any lumps that could be scar tissue but i really dont know and I guess thats why Im here....to ask for your opinion. What are the chances this is early stage Peyroines? I first noticed the problem about a month or two ago and it hasnt really progressed anywhere so far.

I feel so terrified to go to the doctor and to tell my partner. Im afraid theyll not understand or flip out but I know the right thing to do would be go to the doctor and check myself. I appreciate any comments or advice. Thanks guys and gals    :)

Hey Curious -- I'm newish to the forum but NOT new to the subject of curved dicks and appointments with urologists. The RESOUNDING message you will receive from all of us goes, in part, like this:

- It's your body. Act like you own it. Don't delay, be large and in charge, get your head (the one on your shoulders) wrapped around this topic. This forum is a treasure trove of information. You'll have to spend time reading, and sifting. As you already know, this is a highly emotional issue for the owner of the misbehaving dick, so keep that in mind as you read and sort. We men can and do say lots of things in an emotional flurry. Whatever fool said men aren't emotional has never met a man and his dick!!! Sort through the emotion of the content, and treat anecdotal stories as just that. The nuggets are here, but you'll need to spend some time reading.

- Get an appointment scheduled. With who? This is where you need to exercise some care. Run-of-the-mill urologists are a dime a dozen and do not hold much value on this topic. More than that they are a threat to your member on this topic. Also, if you google "urologist peyronnies" or something similar you'll see that hundreds of urologists near you checked box "yes" when they filled out the web form. But they lied! Point: Buyer beware. There are thousands of men who have gone before you on this forum and all have pretty much the same story. Plain old urologists are worthless if not dangerous on the subject of Peyronnie's or similar. They read about it in med school (maybe??), or they've actually seen a case...once. This does not qualify a urologist to lay hands on your body. The Good News: Your country flag indicates USA so you do have amazing options. Here in the US there is an entire medical specialty called "Male Sexual Health" or "Male Reproductive Health" or "Men's Health." You want to find a doctor with this specialty, because that's what we're talking about. Stop and say the words out loud. Now you can proceed. I found three world class male sexual health specialists in my own research:
- Dr Thomas Walsh, University of Washington Men's Health Center, Seattle
- Dr Andrew Kramer, University of Maryland  at kramerurology.com
- Dr Joel Gelman, Center for Reconstructive Urology, Orange, California

There are a number more identified in testimonials here on the forum, and a list of providers on the forum, too. And, some guys will shout out their fave specialist as well.

Yes, I did have to travel to get results.

Best to you,

John
