Hello everyone,

It's good to talk to you all, as everyone always is I'm a little scared and panicking about what a urologist said probably is Peyronies.  I'm 32 years, I was masterbating and felt a tweak when I was stopping myself coming (I was sexting) and just finished off.  It has been 2 months, I can get an errection and sometimes still get involuntary errections.  My main concern is a 10-20 degree turn left from mid erect penis, and random aches in my urethra (particularly head and base) testicles, and sometimes pelvis if or after I masterbate particularly.  I was wondering If I could ask some specific questions

-  Is it to early after 2 months to get a VED?  If so any particularly model and what how much does it work (and how long)

-  My Urologist mentioned a VED and said try to straighten my penis when I masterbate otherwise nothing can be done, should
  I seek a second opinion

-  Can I have sex?  I have a partner I see who wants to visit, I think it will hurt/ache which I can handle, I just don't want to make    it worse

-  Is traction worth using, does that work, can I do it in the acute phase?

-  Is there any go to or MUST'S that I should do.

I'm pretty positive, the bend is 15-30 degrees, it feels like it's recovering, I don't have to sit around and not do everything I can to correct this and get back to 100%.  Any help would be grateful appreciate, thank you and have a great evening.

Traction and VED can and should be used immediately. I would recommend traction over VED personally, but everyone differs. Studies show that both work in the accute phase, with some pretty great results. Read up on the sub forums for each.

You can have sex as long as you're careful and it feels better, not worse, afterwards. I am a big proponent of taking long breaks from masturbation. Sex is in general better for you than masturbation, if only because you're not sitting on your prostate and using your hand, which is rougher and more unnatural than a vagina.

You must NOT bend or stretch or straighten your penis while erect. I have no idea where your urologist got this idea in his head.

If you have time now, you can begin traction by hand while flaccid. Be very gentle.

Definitely during the acute phase is the time to do everything you can to keep the developing scar from bunching up the tunica.  Even after the scar stops developing, if you have managed to model it so that it doesn't prevent a usable erection, you will be far better off than most of us.  Gentle is key though, as introducing additional injury will just make it worse.  Also, consider a good Magnesium supplement (NOT magnesium oxide, which is useless) as almost all fibrosis (improper scarring) is accompanied by magnesium deficiency.  Having sufficient magnesium in your system may help keep the scar from being excessive.

Hi alew84, I take Doctor's Best 100% Chelated Magnesium Glycinate/Lysinate 200-400mg a day, this will help for pain as Magnesium is a muscle relaxant. You may already be taking antioxidants, Astaxanthin is a recommendation also Acetyl L Carnitine (including Alpha Lipoic Acid)

Your question Can I have sex?, Yes, but take things slow,NEVER stretch or straighten when erect as NeoV has advised and good luck with recovery.

Thanks for all the feedback guys,  I'll definitely try the magnesium combos.  I have a few more questions

-  I'm 2 months in, is it likely the curve (20 degrees) will get worse if I leave it, and worse if I have sex

-  is there any traction devices that someone can recommend in the UK (are they really £200+?)

I was a little less concerned until to I read these comments (I appreciate the honesty). My curve isn't as bad as people's I've read, and the only time I ache is when I get above a 90% errection and want to come, I can get one as normal though.  This makes me think I've damaged near the head, I can't feel any plaque or hard spots though.  Anyway thanks for the help and any advice given!!!

alew84

something really silly.  The urologist told me to message my penis, so I was while it was flaccid, I found a tender spot near the base by the vein on top.  I was trying to see if it was a plaque.  Anyway it was tender while I was massaging it.  Now it's really aching and I'm freaking out that I might have caused another injury and il get another curve.  Is this likely to happen while flaccid?  I'm going crazy with this, can somebody please advise me :( :( :(

NeoV

Personally I think massaging is a bad idea, at least do not put pressure on your penis but manipulate it gently if you do. That may be vascular, in which case leaving it alone may be best. If you put a flashlight next to the lump, if it's bluish in color it is a vein or lymphatic vessel. Both will appear blue.

alew84

Thanks dude, it felt a little deeper though. Is I likely to damage and or cause a plaque massaging or prodding flaccid like I did

Paolo

alew84, as long as you are flaccid gentle massage may benefit you, however I would leave it some days before doing so. I think you should continue meanwhile with your sex life but perhaps cut down on masturbation a bit, stop if any pain begins, at 32 Years of age you know that pains not normal.

Massage.
You can by 'cold pressed' castor oil from health stores, castor oil has the benefit of transdermal absorption and use it overnight whilst sleeping, wear old shorts or pyjamas as it will stain your clothing and bedding otherwise, then simply shower off next morning.

Try the castor oil firstly but emu oil may also help, it has essential fatty acids in it, got mine through Amazon 100ml pure free range.

Take care and keep the post coming.

Thanks dude,

I'm going to look into the oil now and buy a Traction device when I get paid.  I've just been freaking out big time, today I'm aching a lot.  I'm not going to touch or do anything for a week and see if I damaged myself yesterday with the prodding, then completely limit masterbation to once a week and be really gentle.  I'm currently single so sex might be difficult and it's a really difficult subject to approach a girl about!  "I can't go hard because I have this injury.."

Does anyone have traction devices suggestions?  I'm still struggling for advice on a good one and one that isn't hundreds! (if there are any good ones)

Paolo

alew84,
Once a week masturbation sounds reasonable and cautious at this time, don't rush on the traction device and read all reviews on such devices before purchase. I have no experience with traction devices so if you do go down that route let me know how you progress as I may consider one.

You may want to check out a product called fleshlight as this will make masturbation 'feel' more natural, fairly pricey but if used normally should minimise further injuries, always use a water-based lubricant though.

Hope your recovery continues  :)

If you decide to go with traction, don't get a device that uses a strap to hold the penis down in the traction cradle. You should get a suction cup traction device.

I have had both types and the suction cup is infinitely more comfortable, whereas the strap down cuts off blood supply to the glans and you can go numb, which is obviously not safe.

The majority view on the Forum is that a quality suction cup traction device is the best.

Unfortunately, good traction devices are quite expensive.

I did a lot of research after buying and trying a strap down device for about 2 months and realised I had to change.

I found a very high quality German made one sold through a very well respected medical equipment supplier in the UK (they supply the NHS). To avoid posting a commercial link, PM me if you're interested and I'll forward you the details

Hey guys,

I have a few questions, thank you Gutted for everything, been messaging some people and getting some great advice, but wanted to put some questions in the public forum for opinions too, a few things I've noticed, I'm 10 weeks in

-  My curve is 20-30 degrees, is this likely to get worse if left or in general

-  I can't see or find any dents or lumps of plaque, is that normal?

-  I only really ache after erections, and then next day I feel pain, it's all in the urethra and it makes me feel like I need the toilet even when I don't at times, any experience of this?

- I still don't know if I should have sex, I feel like I could, if the aching before and after an erection wasn't present I'd be ok with the curve I have and function I think, I just don't want to make it worse?  any advice?  I'm guessing slow if anything?

-  I had a previous trama 9 months before, could it pay dormant for that long, it was worse than this (my ex squeezed me)

-  I have a cyst in one of my testicles since I was 18 (I'm 32) and unfortunately I picked up HSV2 (herpes) and I read that that can lead to disorders like this, any information on that? (it's all cleared)

Thanks guys, There are quite a few questions there I know, any advice is always helpful

Thank you and have a great night

Alew,

I think it is possible for peyronies to lay dormant for a few months. Maybe your injury wound up being compounded by a mild injury that you didn't even realize took place. I know that my injury occurred as the result of me re-positioning while in my wife. I can't trace it to anything else. As for sex, if it is working use it, but mission position and gentle otherwise you might buckle it and cause more damage. My URO is of the belief that not using it with peyronies can lead to ED. I am not a big fan of INSIDS or any medications, for that matter; however, an Motrin 800 mg prior to might help with the pain and inflammation.

You need to get to a URO that specializes in peyronies and there are a number of people in the UK on this forum that you can get recommendations about whom to see.
