I was messing around looking at Dr Elist implant for penile growth etc..and looking at animation it looks like just a silicon based half penis shaped implant that goes under the skin..btw.its looking like fda approval coming soon..its bee around for decade by this dr...My thought is has this dr tried this on a Peyronies Disease patient? Has anyone tired this?  I'm trying to think of the physics of an upward curved Peyronies Disease patient like me..well if u slide a harder silicon sheet under my skin on top of penis then when I get erect wouldn't the silicon sheath layinunder the skin and on top part of penis help to prevent curve?  My Penis curves but maybe the Silicon sheath wouldn't as much giving the illusion of a straight penis?

Freemason,

I'm having implant surgery Dec. 1.  Dr Lue recommended it because of my ED and Peyronies.  He said that the implant would straighten out the Peyronies.  This type of surgery seems to have worked positively for several I have talked to.

Soo, I think what you are talking about may work.

Jim, do you have any waisting (hourglass) or a simple bend/curve?  I'm curious how successful an implant is when there is waisting involved.

Definitely keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks,

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

Nemo, I have a simple bend/curve, no waisting.  Dr. Lue specifically chose the AMS700CX because of the Peyronies.  My understanding is that it improves girth, not length but definitely straightens the Peyronies.  I will send updates beginning just prior to surgery.

Elist's "implant" deserves a separate topic. I know of no Peyronie's sufferers who got his implant. It is famous for the thundersplace scandal in which it caused one young man to have an upward curve and shorter penis after a horrific experience and failed surgery (it had to be removed). Later Elist hired a lawer to try to remove the young guy's photos from that forum. Now, the surgery may very well work for some guys to give them a longer penis, I have no idea, but I would NOT consider it for Peyronie's. Feel free to argue otherwise, since I am not perfectly clear on the details of the surgery.

Maybe I should change my title..I said implant but more meant a cosmetic enhancement procedure to enlarge the penis and its effect on Peyronies Disease...lol..sounds like a good title to a study.

As for Dr Elist and that one patient having issues..Sure..happens with every single surgeon in every field.  doesn't mean the Dr is good or bad at what he does..Dr. E could be awful idk..he could also be great.  But it's good to have all perspectives that's for sure.  Dr L in Chicago I'm quite sure has had surgieries done that didn't turn out well..Every surgeon has had a patient with a poor outcome.

So back to my thought..I'm wondering if a procedure like the one done by Dr E for penile enhancement could have a positive effect on Peyronies Disease curvature when erect?  I mean it makes total sense if you implant a silicon like sheath under the skin that when you become erect it is going to help to keep the penis straighter.  How could it not.

Freemason,

I'm aware of what you're talking about.  Just understand that with Peyronies you will be limited in length by the amount of plaque growth/fibrosis.  This device may indeed straighten the penis but will not provide increased length.

So I did contact them and his enhancement device it is basically a silicon penis shaped device..more half penis shaped..Kinda like if you took a paper towel cardboard roll (the inner cardboard thing) and cut it in half long ways.  It is currently awaiting FDA approval so other Dr's can perform the procedure.  I have to say it a makes perfect sense for normal enhancement as it actually does enhance size without cutting a ligament or filling with some glue like substance.. Over 1300 men have had it to date over 10 years so seems fairly safe.

Anyway..I contacted them and they said to send pictures and that they have done the procedure with men for Peyronies Disease with success..don't know the outcome but I'm interested to discuss with this Dr.

Jim...I see what you are saying by not improving length although if you took my current Peyronies Disease condition erect and straightened it I'd gain prob an inch which is huge.  So if this device can get me mostly straight then I should gain some length..it would for sure improve girth.  I'm thinking about it as its a 45 minute procedure..seems far less invasive than traditional PEG surgery without the potential side effects that come with that..the device can be removed.  If it can improve my curve by 50% I'd be thrilled. Kinda pricey though...I think it's $10k plus..IDK.

Freemason,

If you decide to have this procedure I wish you nothing but good luck.  Will you have to travel to have the procedure?

By all means keep us up to date on this.  You can always IM me if you want to discuss and I can pass on my talk w/Dr. Lue.

All the best,

Thanks Jim..Might be wishful thinking..I know it's been featured on Dr. Oz and other Dr shows etc.. You can check out the website..Idk it got me thinking that instead of cutting me up and risking ED which I don't have any there has to be a way to place a device under skin and length of the shaft to keep things straight..It can't be this hard..seems like this would be one way.  I'll talk with the Dr after I send the photos and see what his results have looked like in guys with Peyronies Disease like me.

yes I'd have to fly he's in Cali..but that's a piece of cake..Spend a few days in Cali no prob..better than spending a week or more in London or Brazil.
