Hello everyone, I'm new here and i've got a problem with erections since September. I am increasingly worried with my problem as it is not getting any better and i hope that someone can hear me out, and any advices and insights into this will be deeply appreciated.

Firstly, I'm a healthy person with NO diabetes/hypertension/testosterone problems. I took a blood test with my GP and he said everything were good. I exercise regularly and eat healthily, and i'm in a healthy weight. I don't take drugs/smoke/drink alcohol, i am not having any medication lately. I am uncircumcised. I am also a virgin and I used to masturbate very frequently BEFORE August 2015 - I had no troubles getting and maintaining an erection at all 8 months ago...

Timeline:
1. I fell into depression after breaking up with someone - The depression started since August, 2015 and diminished overtime, it ended in December as i no longer feel sad for the breakup anymore. I had a very low sex drive the whole time, and was ignorant of the erectile problems that came along with it.
2. At some point between September-December 2015: I did push-ups with my knees on a bench during on of my exercise - I had muscle failures so I fell to the ground multiple times, my flaccid penis was therefore being compressed by my bodyweight as i fell to the ground. It was slightly painful, and had a slightly numbing feeling to it but i didn't care about it and carried on with my exercise.
3. I did jumping jacks without my pants on... My dick was fapping up and down quickly and i stopped immediately after 30 seconds because it was really uncomfortable (it was not painful though). Then i looked down at my penis realising that my foreskin have retracted behind the glans, it felt very painful when i touch the penis head but i managed to pull my foreskin back to its normal position anyway. Then i went for a hot shower. After the incident, the area felt sore days after that but eventually it wasn't sore anymore.
4. During the period of time when i first started to have ED (I no longer get spontaneous erection and could not get or maintain an erection for some time), I masturbated by clamping my flaccid penis with my legs - I could ejaculate and still have an orgasm even if my dick was flaccid.
5. At some point i realised that what I was experiencing was ED. I stopped using the method above to masturbate but instead I just rub the penis head with my finger to induce an erection - I wanted to check if i was ok. An erection could occur if i keep rubbing my penis, especially the penis head. I was lying down on my bed while masturbating. Whenever i keep my hands off my penis, it goes back to its flaccid state in about 5-10 seconds.
6. I did this numerous times to reassure myself that my penis have no problem getting erections.

To summarise:
1. Literally, I am unable to achieve an erection without touching my penis.
2. Even if i could achieve an erection, if i stop touching it it will go flaccid in around 10-20 seconds.
3. My penis feels hard inside when it is flaccid, it feels like it is shrinking.
4. Discomfort in the penis but no pain at all around the groin area.
5. Morning Woods are rare and not as strong as it used to be if i ever have one - I do remember i had one a week ago. It seems to get less and less morning woods.
6. Norturnal erections have been weak.
7. Whenever i hold my pee, my penis enlarges but is still limp, it's not erected.
8. My penis don't seem to be be curved when erected, there's no pain neither.  I don't notice any major changes in the appearances of my penis compared to it pre-ED except that it just seems to be less flexible.
9. Recent update: I woke up from sleeping during a flight 2 days ago, my dick was rock hard, i even had trouble keeping it down (i was on a plane and i didn't want the guy sitting next to me to see it lol)
10. Now: I cannot not get an erection even when i am so aroused - i could feel my penis going hard and watery semen were secreted but it cannot erect on its own. It was frustrating so i started to do something else other than looking at sexual images and porn. I don't feel comfortable touching my penis because everytime i touch it it seems to become numb, firm inside even when it is flaccid afterwards. I am worrying that i will make the problem worse and permanently damage my penis for doing that, assuming that it isn't permanently damaged already.

I have seen a GP 3 weeks ago, he said that he don't know how identify the problem physically so he refered me to an urologist but I have to wait until 27th of May 2016, i have to wait 3 more months before it can be physically examined! I've been suffering from this for 8 months already... Blood test shows that Testosterone was normal, no diabetes, no hypertension...etc everything were fine.
Guys, what do you think is the cause of my ED? Is it venous leakage? Is it nerve damage? Why is my dick feeling tight and firm inside even when it's flaccid?

Hello Icerollstar1

Welcome to the forum, I have to say that after reading your post, I dont know that Peyronies is your issue, you dont seem to have any of the signs that our other members have with Peyronies. your issue seems to be with ED specifically. Now you do describe some damage that you may have done to your penis while exercising but you havent mentioned having a curvature or having felt plaques in your penis or pain during masturbation. You should certainly see a urologist and if your concern is still Peyronies make sure that the one you see specializes in Peyronies disease (we have a list in the fourm. https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,4063.0.html)

Please read what others post to your introduction, I am hoping the men with peyronies will be able to help shed some light on this for you. I will be sending you a PM shortly with some other helpful links in the forum please go through and if you have any questions  please feel free to ask.

hi guys,
I'm 17, a virgin and i have symtoms of venous leakage (hard to achieve and maintain an erection, soft erection, soft penis head). The venous leak is quite probable even though it has not been confirmed yet and I don't think i have peyronies.

I just want to ask, how will sex be like with venous leakage? When you have sex, will your penis go soft in the vagina, or not even able to penetrate?

I don't know the severity of my leakage but i can get an erection but only with really concentrated mental stimulation when i'm lying down, and can sustain it for around 10 - 20 seconds without touching. Sometimes, i clamp my erected penis with my thighs during masturbation to keep it up and have better orgasm.

I think these are classic symtoms of venous leak, do you think i have it? how sever is it? Judging by your own experience, how is it like to live with venous leak? How significantly did it impact your sex life?

In my opinion it is not venous leakage. Venous leakage is a physical condition so you would not be able to get hard sometimes, but not others. If you woke up and had a rock hard erection, then it is not venous leakage. But the question still is, what is causing it. I can tell you the depression and your mental state has a lot do to with it.

It is hard to get get hard, without physical stimulation, I have to concentrate very hard (mentally) in order to have an erection. Also, it took time to get an erection like that, about one to half a minute or so. When i'm lying down, it can potentially stay hard for a maximum of 2 to 3 minutes without touching the penis. Sometimes, I can get an erection and then immediately loses it in seconds when i'm not that horny. Also, for some reason the lower end of my penis shaft feels a little bit achy when i have a hard erection. Note that this is not during sexual intercourses, I'm still a virgin. Doppler Scan is expensive and i don't want to get it unless there is a significant possibility that i have venous leakage. Does this sound like venous leak to you?

Hi Icerollsta,

Purely based on my own experiences of ED, it sounds like you may have a physical problem. Whether or not this venous leak remains ambiguous. I would suggest having a doppler scan. You might also want to consider a cavernosography and a penile MRI. I wonder if your problem is also being exacerbated by some psychological factors.

I've read that a potential sign of venous leakage is when it is easier to get erections in some positions than others, e.g. lying on your side vs lying on your back, sat down vs standing up. In my opinion a one-off rock hard erection is not evidence that it is 100% not venous leak, or at least a physical problem.

Ok thanks for your advices,
I have been masturbating for the last two days (twice a day) and i think my penile sensivity has increased quite a lot. The hard flaccid condition was probably due to psychological ED because and the lack of erections was causing me some sort of penile atrophy. Also, I switched from taking cold showers to hot showers - cold showers are good for the body and mind in general but it seems to be f'^+'ing up my penis.

I have had 2 strong morning woods in the last two days that lasted for around 15-20 minutes (lying down) and could possibly lasted longer if i didn't have to get off my bed to start my day, so it's probably not venous leak, right? The hard-flaccid feeling is gone.

But i still find lying on my back way easier for me to get and maintain an erection than lying on the side when i masturbate.

Hi Icerollstar1,

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what your physical problem is, if you have one at all. A cold shower will certainly reduce blood flow in your penis, and a hot shower will increase it - this is a natural response. If your penis is shrinking excessively while exposed to the cold however, this could be a blood flow problem.

It sounds like your symptoms aren't too severe. I would carrying on with your urological appointment and keep an eye on your erection quality and the frequency and rigidity of your nocturnal erections - if things get worse report it all to your urologist.

Good luck

Hey guys,
What exactly are the symtoms of a Penile suspensory ligament damage?
I've been googling for a while and different people seem to say different things about their injuries so It was confusing.

Personally, I've been experiencing partial ED for around 8 months now, it was pretty bad from the start (I had more trouble getting erections) but now It seems like it has partially healed:

I can get hard when masturbating but usually my penis won't erect properly unless i rub it, it just becomes hard and thick but not erected. I do have morning woods, but they were usually soft, they were rarely strong but again they do get strong and hard when i rub them. When i'm erected, the lower shaft of my penis aches - Dull pain that is tolerable but definitely uncomfortable, the pain gradually increases as my penis gets harder, it was not sharp pain though. I cannot maintain an erection without constantly touching it... I can mentally stimulate myself without touching, and have an erection if i concentrate real hard but it goes down almost immediately (depends on my position, when i'm lying down facing upwards it can maintain for longer, it seems). In order to masturbate and orgasm for an optimal pleasure during masturbation I would clamp the base/shaft of my penis with my thighs (When i do this my penis can become hard and erected, no problem with it. But again it goes soft pretty quickly after i leave it alone for a while). I don't have any curving with my penis.

Also, my flaccid penis have become longer but kinda thinner... (it seems to me)
I've made an appointment with an Urologist and I'll get a Doppler Ultrasound Test and Biothesiometer test done this Saturday. I suspected Veinous leakage, but now it seems like It's suspensory ligament damage... or both  :(

I'm 17, a virgin and i am unsure of any previous damages i have done to my penis. My penis used to be able to get and maintain strong erections easily, now it's difficult to do so.

It's been worrying me to death these days, whenever I masturbate I wonder whether I would be further damaging my penis. I have changed from cold showers to hot showers since around 3 weeks ago and it seemed like it helped with my erections.

My health has been good, blood test shows that Testosterone level is normal, no high cholesterol or anything, my blood pressure is also normal.

Can anyone explain what's going on here and also, what are the typical symtoms of penile suspensory ligament damages? Will this be permanent?? It's been 8 months!!!   :( :( :( :( :(

QuackAttack

Ice,

Are you on any meds? For, example cholesterol meds lower testosterone. Testosterone is highly dependent on cholesterol and meds like this are wreaking havoc on male sexual health.

NeoV

What makes you think it's ligament damage?

You may have injured one of the arteries that runs into your penis. You can feel those easily, they are thick cords on both sides that come out of your body and run into the base of the penis.
