Age:  66
Have had Peyronies Disease for the past 18 months.  Consulted with my urologist and he confirmed the self diagnosis.  Went through two rounds of injections with Xiaflex with no improvement.  His next recommendation was Dr Lue, a specialist practicing at the University of San Francisco.  Most likely for reconstructive surgery.  My question to the forum is; before going through with the surgery are there alternative or options that I could try?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Dros

Hey Jimbruski

Yeah, there are several options. Most people on here will recommend something like the following:

daily:
Pentox 400mg x3
L-Arginine 1000mg x3
ALC 500mg x3
Q10 200mg x2
Cialis 2.5-10mg per day (depending on severity of ED [if at all])

daily Traction (6-8h)
AND/OR
daily VED (2x 10min or 1x 20min, see VED protocol in the VED forum)

There is also the option of PRP (see my topic in the experimental forum).

There is no guarantee though. I have seen NO results so far (3 months) and many have seen limited results even after more than a year. However, if you are willing to wait, surgery should be the last option, rather than the first.

Good luck to you!

Jimbruski

Thanks DROS,

I'll definitely look into your suggestions.  Yes, surgery will be my last option.
Thanks Again

Dear Jimbruski,

Can you also tell us a little bit more about you're symptoms?

Greetings,

Kami.

Kamisuka et.al.

The onset of my Peyronies Disease was fairly rapid with/for no reason.  Although I can't put a timeline on it I would say that I went from normal to a 45 degree left curve in about two weeks.  There is no pain, even when erect.  The Xiaflex injections and accompanying stretching produced no improvement.
If you would like more information please include that in a response.

Thank you for your interest and help.

Jimbruski,
Your symptoms are similar to many on the forum. This literally occurs for no reason overnight. Read up on the use of VEDs and/or traction along with some of the suggested supplements.

Jim,

You said that you had Xiaflex and stretching. By stretching do you mean traction? If you haven't, I would suggest trying traction. Dr. Levine is big on traction and my URO said that he has seen 60%+ positive results with Pentox and Traction. I would suspect the same with Xiaflex and Traction.

Jimbruski

I'll have to do a little research on traction and VED's.  I assume these are stretching devices.  Are they available on line or do they need Doctor recommendation?

You can order online. I just got a Phallosan Forte after using a Sizegenetics for 5 months. The PF is the most comfortable thing you will strap on. Today I got 8.5 hours without thinking about it in 2, 4+ hour sessions. I could never get more than 3 with the SG and the PF is much easier to conceal.

Thanks QuackAttack.  I'll check it out.
