Pbosche

Hello and I apologize if this is not the place for this post.
I've just turned 46. I took some Viagra a couple of months ago and felt some pains that I didn't pay much attention to, I just assumed it was from throbbing. I then noticed a hard "tube" area on top of my shaft.
A few weeks ago I was engaging in sex with my gf and reached down to reposition and *GASP*
I calmly asked her to stop and that we needed to turn on the lights.
I was in shock and horror as I noticed my fella was wearing a corset or belt..hourglassed!
I freaked out a bit but continued.
I don't really experience pain or a bend but just the hourglass effect. There isn't a bend but at the "belt" it is easy for my penis to break to the left or the right.
I started a regime of castor oil, it's only been 10 days, there doesn't seem to be any change. It also created a painful Grey snakeskin on my scrotum. I'm a trucker and daily showers are a thing of the past. I'm still using castor but not as liberally and I wrap it with tissue to prevent coating of my sack.
I was about to drop $400 on a traction device today. I've found others but I like the pills that come with their program.
So just a quick hello. I hate that I'm here so please don't "welcome" me:)
I guess if I have one first question it is in your opinions of traction devices for "belting" or "hourglassing" since curvature doesn't seem to be an issue. I don't have a doctor or insurance so that is not an option:/
I don't know if things have calcified or if perhaps I'm lucky and have caught this in time to reverse the effects.
Thanks

Phbosche,

You are early on so getting to work as early as possible is important. As for the castor oil, waist of time, I tried it right off the bat and I told my URO a few weeks ago and he said that is worthless. Fortunately, not very expensive. There is a lot of snake oil out there and I bit on some of it. If you are able to get insurance, get it. You need a competent URO that deals in Peyronies. As for traction, I believe that is what has kept my plaque from calcifying and my curvature from getting worse. Look up Dr. Levine in Chicago as he is the man in treating Peyronies Disease. He is all about traction. I could be wrong; however, just because you only have an hourglass now and that doesn't mean that curvature won't happen. Don't buy a cheap traction device. I have a size genetics device and it is very good, but it is inconvenient. I plan on getting the Phallosan Forte as it is suppose to be more comfortable and it is wearable while sleeping. There are others in the forum that havesaid that the PF traction device is good. Pentox is a prescription that my URO said has been effective in about 60% of his patients in combination with traction, which is the course I am on right now. L-arginine and L-carnitine are two supplements that appear to be helpful. This is a good place to get information from people that have dealt with this problem for many years.

Good Luck,
John

Pey-penis

I think that in this case it would be better VED than traction device.

Pbosche;
First of all you need to get a confirmed diagnosis of Peyronies. It appears that you have done some damage, but it needs to looked at.

You need to see a competent, Peyronies aware Urologist or Andrologist. A Doppler ultrasound wil determine the extent of the plaque and if there is calcification, assuming that you do have Peyronies.

Peyronies or not......  I think VED is best for any type of hourglass effect.
Developed peyronies 2007 - 70 degree dorsal curve
Traction/MEDs/Injections/Surgery 2008 16 years Peyronies free now
