Hello all,
I am JC from Spain. I am 29 year old and I have peyronie disease since two years ago.
I have been in treatment with iontoforensis and now I am thinking about xiaflex.
My doctor has told me about not going to a surgery.
Any questions, I would be grateful to answer.

Two years ago ( may 14)  my penis started to hurt me. I felt  pain during erections. I came to the urologist and he told me about performing an ecography. This test confirmed that I had a plaque on my penis. The doctor gave me a treatment with tamoxifen during three months. It causes nothing on me. The pain get worse.
Then I changed my doctor and in January 15, the new one proposed me a new treatment with 10 sessions of iontophoresis (one per week).
With these sessions, my pain got better but my penis become to have a desviation. In may 15, my I finished the treatment. My penis have a deviation about 80 degrees. The doctor told me to do nothing until the deviation got stabilized and them go to surgery.
Then, after three months (Autumn), my penis had less deviation (about 50 degrees) but the plaque was bigger. During erections I have like a sand clock on my penis.
At Christmas I went to the doctor again and he oltd me not to go to surgery and use only a penis extender.
I have just change to a new one doctor speciallyzed on peyronie. He has proposed me to perform one cycle of xiaflex (3m €) and then a penis modelling with exercises.
He is very optimistic but I am not sure.

Soul,
I would have much more confidence in this new URO as he specializes in Peyronies. Xiaflex will be my next route if Pentox and traction don't do the trick. Keep up with the traction and maybe VED as part of your modeling process.

Hello Soulwaxfc!
Do you know what the drug was used for iontophoresis and what had electrode polarity applied to the penis?
I used iontophoresis every day for 2 weeks and used at first Verapamil and now colloidal silver.

@quackattack thanks for your support. My new URO highly recommended me some penis extender after xiaflex. I think I. Am going to take this chance.

@pey-penis I have no idea about the medication and the polarity of the iontophoresis. It was 10min session and then, the nursery change the polarity for another 10min. I got better with the pain but the deviation got worse. I have no idea if there was any relationship

So read carefully about Xiaflex!
Xiaflex is used to treat Dupuytren's contracture in adults. This condition causes an abnormal thickening of the tissue in the palm of the hand. This condition may get worse over time and form a "cord" in your palm, causing a permanent bend in your finger.

Xiaflex is also used to treat a related condition called Peyronie's disease in adult men. This condition causes scar tissue or "plaque" to develop under the skin of the penis, resulting in an abnormal curving of the penis during erection.

Xiaflex is available for Peyronie's disease only from a certified pharmacy under a special program called Xiaflex REMS. You must be registered in the program and understand the risks of taking this medicine.
