Hello everyone, thank you for this helpful forum which I have been checking for months before the surgery.

I just had mine, exactly a week ago and it went well. I had a severe downward curvature and the 2 surgeons recommended the grafting method given the angle of the curvature, which satisfied my will of not losing length. It went well and it took 2.5 hours. Week 1 was fine, no bleeding, some stitches were removed others are still there and Im getting night erections which hurt like hell but I am getting used to the pain. I can also feel that my erections are becoming straight, but I still didn't get a full one given the pain that stops them from maturing.

My only concern at the moment is this: In the flaccid state, I started to notice a minor curve towards the left. If you look at the bandage, you can see that it's straight on the right side, but "wrinkly" on the left. I know that this is not a big deal compared to what I had before, but I was expecting this problem to go away for good? I hope that one of these could be the reason:

1. The bandage, which I still have to keep for another 3-4 days is tightening the penis during the night erections and therefore it took one direction which is the left? Therefore, I have to wait for the healing to finish and then take another look

2. The graft needs time to adjust to my body and later with regular erections, it will take its normal shape?

3. The doctor mentioned stretching exercises as of December 11th, my next appointment with him and this will fix the issue?

Right now, I am happy with the surgery and I can feel "straight" erections at night, I am just OCD and I was hoping that this problem will be fixed forever? Thank you for your help and feedback, if you faced a similar situation before.

About the shape it will take, I don't know. But there is a thread around here me someone that went to dr franklin kuehas and he said the bandage was there to keep the penis healing straight and not to the sides. The rest g don't know. I'm sorry

Thank you Pfraft.

I just spoke to the surgeon (who is not in the country now) and sent him some photos. He said that it's the subcutaneous hematoma that's making one side more swollen than the other and it should disappear with time. He recommended using a bepanthole cream to speed up the process. So I'm relieved now, I will keep posting here to share my experience.

Exactly 2 weeks now since I had the surgery.

Everything seems fine, the color is almost back to normal and the skin cream prescribed by the surgeon helped with this. The shape of the flaccid penis is almost back to normal and the pain caused by nocturnal erections is not that severe anymore. The external stitches dissolved completely and left a noticeable scar, but I'm not bothered, I will proudly say that it's "battle scars" :) The inner stitches however are still there and I am not sure if they are meant to stay or will dissolve in the future. All I know is that they hurt a bit during the night and they are preventing the penis from getting a full erection, because of the pain. Also, I can feel at least 2 knots, I believe they are suture knots. One of these knots is below a swollen area. Do you guys think that is normal? How long does it usually take inner stitches to dissolve? I've read in many threads that week3 is the week of "truth" and most patients get their full erection during this week, so I'm anxiously looking forward to seeing it. Cheers

firstly, yes the stitches inside are dissolvable. They will disappear in time.

I had the stage Egydio technique performed by Dr Kuehhas in London. After the bandages have been removed, the advice I have been given is to stretch the penis 10 times for approx 10 secs each time I go to the toilet - not too hard, but enough to make it feel uncomfortable. You must do this to prevent the graft from retracting. I am also told that 4 weeks post surgery I need to use a traction device - the Phallosan Forte is recommended - it is to be used for 1-3 hours daily for the following 3-6 months.

These steps have all been given to me by Dr Kuehhas as a very necessary part of the post surgery rehabilitation. If you have any doubts, I would contact your surgeon.

Jonbinspain, thank your for your reply.
Good to hear that the internal stitches are dissolvable, I think it makes sense. You are right, I've read in many threads that the penis should be stretched to prevent the graft from shrinking. In fact, my surgeon mentioned after the operation that I should start using a stretching device as of my next appointment with him in exactly 15 days (4 weeks after the surgery). He said that I will be using it for 30min everyday over 2 months. But now, I wasn't told anything, I believe that the night erections will do. I hope that you are happy with the outcome and good luck to everyone undergoing this surgery.

Have some new regarding your surgery?
Can you give us an update?
Can you tell us who was the surgeon? If you don't want to post his name on the forum, can you send me a PM?
I had a prostate and bladder surgery in Belgium in November 2014, was very pleased with the surgeon.

Looks like I finally found the right thread. I am 1 week post op from grafting surgery which was quite extensive (4 1/2 hours). The pain is excruciating and seeeems to be getting better at times, then a step backward again. Swelling is down in the scrotum and surrounding area, but the base of my penis is still very swollen. The procedure was the circular incision and skin retraction type, so I'm assuming there are internal sutures as well.
The concerning part is the pain. I fully anticipated pain, but this is nearly debilitating and doesn't seem to be getting better. I don't see the doctor again for another week, and I'm afraid I may not make it that long before I go to the ER.
Can anyone tell me if this is "normal" or if I'm about right on track. Right now the only thing that seems to help is 1000 mg of Tylenol and an ice pack
Thank you!

Did the doctor give you pain medication to manage the pain? I think I took meds for up to week post op.
