Hi to all,

I'm a new one on this road... 31 years old, diagnosed a couple of months ago and confirmed by an specialist about now...

He gave me a positive message of hope and triple treatment Pentoxifiline, Cialis and Traction Device... I hope I'm on the right way.

I have a slight upward and leftward bent along hourglass effect... Wish me luck on my trip.

Good luck, LFCE.  You are very fortunate to have found a specialist who knows what he's talking about! Many of us go through several specialists over many many months. It might be helpful if you posted the doctor's name under Urologists board so others in Spain can benefit.  Thanks for posting, and good luck!

Thank you hope4all,

Actually I'm working abroad from Spain (in deep Africa) and make some research before come to Spain to check this out... it's quite easy to get a list of urologist experts in Peyronie's in Spain on the internet. Anyhow I will post his name, I'm getting a second opinion tomorrow before heading back to Africa...

The doctor said it could have been better if I came a little earlier but he hopes I caught it at the right time... to be honest I'm quite scared. I find this forum very supportive.

A search on the Spanish Peyronies experts may give you the names but will not give you they way of treatment.
We trust just forum members opinions, this is the reason hope4all asked you to post the doctor name.
Wish you good luck with the treatment. :)

Thank you James,

Of course, I will do it with pleasure. I'm just too new in this world.

Thanks LFCE. It took me several years to muster up the courage to start posting here, so you're already doing better than many of us! There is a period of mourning that comes with this awful disorder just like a death, and we all have different ways of coping with it, some are better at it than others.

Keep reading the various topics and continue to learn from others. When you are ready feel free to post your experiences. Good luck with your work in Africa. Giving to others is a great way of coping with life's setbacks...something I'm learning more about.

Keep hope alive.

Thank you hope4all,

I'm back "home" in Africa loaded with my homework and ready to run this marathon. It was thanks to fora like this and people like you that I took the decision to act fast. Hope It is worth it!

I'm having a hard time as well, just developing my coping mechanisms... understanding the process gives me some help.

I've been proposed several treatments that I'm taking and Xiapex (Xiaflex) injections... I'll have to take a decision but first I need to get more info about that.

I keep hope alive!
