From what you guys know, could this be related to taking pentox?

I'm almost on my third month of pentox and i've been noticing (this doesn't sound like a common complaint) that whenever i pop a pimple the skin becomes excessively red like someone kinda scratched me. Then it'll stay like that for a noticeably longer amount of time. Like today i popped a few pimples. Not that hard, little pressure virtually.

My whole face had huge red marks aroiund each pimple and they got all inflamed and stayed "damaged" for an excessive amount of time.

Could this be related to pentoxifylline's blood thinning properties and essentially be causing my skin to be damaged easier? Help? Even guess?

Maybe you have allergic reaction to Pentox. You should see a doctor for it.
In my case was opposite, all my thin blue/red veins on my face and feet disappeared after 3 month on Pentox.

James, i guess that is technically possible but i don't see how that would be relevant. I would assume in "most" cases an allergic reaction would just cause rashes and stuff.

Like i said  it feels like my skin is "weaker" i guess. It could just be in my head. But it doesn't seem like it.

How was your veins disappearing the opposite?

Do you think this is related though or not?

Also, i can't really see my doctor about this anymore because he's a peyronies specialist and super expensive. I'm 90% sure it's not an allergic reaction so it's not worth it in that case.

I have found the same thing since starting pentox, scratches and cuts taking ages to heal as well as scars becoming darker and more visible

notscared,

Pentox is a blood thinner so small scratches and wounds may bleed a bit more than usual. If they don't improve in a day or so, I suggest seeing your regular physician and perhaps changing the dose. Therapeutic effects have been reported on lower doses of pentox so this shouldn't necessarily impact your treating Peyronie's.

I actually experienced two positive side effects while on pentox: I recovered very quickly from exercise and my sperm motility increased, such that my wife at the time got pregnant the moment she went off birth control.

Can anyone tell me if THIS ^ is a common side effect? Apparantly me and him are both experiencing this.

Did you guys experience this side effect above^ at all? Is it possible that could be a normal side effect or no?

Yes, it's hapoened to me too. One of the reasons I've stopped taking Pentox. It just needed the smallest knock in the gym, or wherever, and I would have either a blood blister, or start bleeding.

I'm sure Pentox is very helpful with Peyronies, but the side effects are too much for me to take.

jonbin how long did you take pentox for and how much? Did the side effects stop once you stopped it?Was it really bad or just annoying enough to where you couldn't deal with it.

For me, it was a combination of side effects that caused me to stop taking it. The effects I described, caused by the blood thinning action of Pentox. Then there was the damage it appeared to do to my immune system. I seemed to suffer from every little cold & flu bug around - and for longer too. Add in the various stomach upsets, feeling cold all the time, etc, and I decided to just quit for a while.

Yes, most of those side effects have at least lessened. I have now just started again taking only one 400mg tablet per day. Before I was on 3-4.
