Personally I've had good results using
traction to gain length. I think I can go on forever on this topic in terms of my learning experiences and my views, so I will do my best to just provide the cliff notes.
1. I found that
traction was completely ineffective at reducing
congenital curvature which was my primary goal.
2. I was able to gain ~.5" from
traction exercises performed on and off over the past year. Gains appear permanent and real.
3. The extender device for the purposes I was interested in seemed completely ineffective. Firstly it didn't fit (again size wasn't my problem), and secondly, the approach that I found worked best was somewhat different than the approach used by the extender.
4. What I did find worked was using my hand to manually apply
traction in the same way that the extender might, but using slightly greater force.** I would exercise once or twice a day for ~15min, about every other day. - I would apply
traction for ~15 sec, then rest for ~15 sec for the ~15 min.
**I really hesitate to say this because obviously if you apply too much force you can hurt yourself. Since I feel this is an extremely important topic I will go into a bit more detail on this one.
My philosophy is that penis length can be influenced just like you might influence muscle mass on your body. I took an analogous approach:
1. Provide stress: This is just like lifting weights at the gym. The main challenge, and THE most important aspect, is finding the right level of intensity. For example, if you curled a 2lb weight non stop, even for the entire day you would see no improvement in muscle mass (to me this is analogous to the extenders which provide a low level of force for hours). On the other end, if you tried to curl your body weight for one rep, you will most likely pull a muscle. You want the right level of intensity to provide the right level of "damage". I think damage is the right word to use here because that is exactly what you are doing and is why you MUST be extremely careful (just like if you were lifting weights at a gym). This also leads into part 2.
2. Heal: Again going back to the weight lifting analogy. Say you find the right level of intensity, if you did the same work out day after day you would find that your body would still not gain muscle; instead your body would begin to break down. In order to actually gain something, whether its muscle, or penis length, your body needs the chance to heal. This is generally on the order of 1 - 2 days if you are at the right intensity level. Its ironic, but during these "off days" are when you will actually be making your gains.
For me, the right intensity level seemed to be something that produces mild soreness that goes away after ~1 day. You should take it very very slow figuring out what it takes to get to that point.
As a closing note, obviously be extremely careful. Especially aimed at Steve, penis enlargement is just one more thing to become obsessed about and can potentially have extremely harmful consequences if overdone. Exercising harder, or more frequently will not produce faster results. You literally need to give your body time to grow. The exercises are just providing the stimulus.
