33yo white male here whose had Peyronies for almost two years now. Never tried Verapamil based on the posted experiences of others even though Dr Levine tried to sell me on it early on with my peyronies. I'm still been able to function ok with daily cialis (even without) but my erections are maybe a 6/10  compared to what they once were. I noticed weaker erections before the onset of peyronies back in 02/13.

I'm strongly considering jumping on the xiaflex train. My bend is 30 to the left and 40 upward. I had one plaque on my left side causing a worse bend but I think I broke it up (into 3 plaques) by intense molding (I think) when the disease was still young. Another injury occurred during sex shortly after the onset of the disease but this time it was one the right side almost directly across from the 3 lumps on the left. That plaque I believe ended up helping straighten the penis a little. My condition has been fairly steady for awhile now.

I saw Dr levine again recently (saw him in 7/13 before xiaflex approval) and he submitted the xiaflex paperwork for me to my insurance co, BCBS. The only response I heard from BCBS was a (temporary) denial of the initial office visit I had where they did 2 shots to induce an erection for measurement and then 2 more to bring it down. BCBS asked for office notes and also a physical so they can decide whether to approve the claim. If this is a harbinger of what's to come with BCBS regarding the actual xiaflex injections then that's not good!

So, the two times I've been to Dr Levine his waiting room is filled. Some of you have to see him. Anybody have xiaflex injections with him or his cute nurse yet? If so, results/experience por favor? I did a search of Levine but all I could come up with was stuff from the old xiaflex trials thread, nothing recent. I'm strongly considering having him do my injections if I can handle the cost. Thanks

I had verapamil injections from him. He is very experienced and one of the best doctors for this. Highly recommended on this forum.

I am too far from Dr. Levine to pay him a visit, but he is one of the leading world Peyronies specialists.

I did a phone consultation with Dr. Levine back in 2008 (don't know if he still offers these) but I really liked him. If I could have anyone give me Xiaflex injections, I'd want him or Dr. Lue, but I'm sure there are others as good.

Well thanks for the replies gentleman. I have a feeling if I go forward with the shots with Dr Levine I'll be in good hands. If I do, I will surely post the whole 9 yards.

So, I just got approved 100% for my Xiaflex injections :D Those will commence on 4/13 with Dr Levine. Second part of round 1 occurring two days later, and then modeling two days after that. It will have been 26-27 months after initial diagnosis.  Needless to say, I'm very, very nervous. Let's keep those Xiaflex experiences coming gentleman, and hopefully they're ones of success!
