Just came back form seeing my uro for the first time after having this condition for about 10 years.  He said that he detected some fibrous tissue but no obvious plaque and prescribed oral trental 400mg 3 x daily.  I find the diagnosis odd considering how long I've had the condition.

This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

He felt around.   I asked for a doppler ultrasound but he wouldn't give it

Moved your topic here as don't have nothing to do with "Causes of Peyronies Disease"

I was adding low dose Cialis and VED to the Pentox

why do you suggest VED over traction?  Is VED more for acute phase?  How is it possible that I've had this for 10 years yet the doc can't feel any obvious plaque?

james1947

I suggest VED and not traction because VED worked for me.
Tried to use traction but my glans become white in 10 minutes (no blood flow) so I give up.
Many forum members had success with the traction.

anti inflammatory. ALC Carnitin. Ubiquinol to promote healing. The usual suspects so to say.
Warm and good bloodcirculation. Healthy living.

Using Ved in acute stage can lead to more inflammation.

Plaques can be any shape or size, even the smallest of them can cause significant bends and ED. Relying on a purely physical examination is imprecise at best. Flat disc-like plaques are very easy to miss, particularly if your uro isn't terribly experienced in Peyronies Disease. An Doppler scan might be the only way to see your plaques.

Yeah you might be better served finding a uro who will actually use the proper diagnostic tools.

Good news Drew, hopefully the Doppler will show what the problem is and then you can think about treatment. :)
Let us know the results.

The 2nd urologist has requested a doppler but I might have to wait a few months until it's actually performed.

He said that I likely have chordee.  However, my bend is to the left and there is no way I ever had gonorrhoea.  My condition was caused by a very emotional and stressful incident which brought about a host of autoimmune conditions - hypothyroidism, chrone's, and psoriasis

If there is no plaque, would I be a good candidate for both traction and VED?  I will be starting traction in the New Year.

Drew

In my opinion (but I am not a doctor) both VED and traction may help to straiten the penis. Myself using VED and started traction also.

VED is great therapy for promoting penile health in general. The extra blood flow nourishes the penile tissues and is believed to assist in the break up of plaque and fibrotic masses. But as always, the key is in  regular, moderate and responsible use. Overdoing it can cause harm.
As for traction, I don't like it, but that is a personal perspective. A lot of guys on here have had success in traction therapy.
