Maybe this is the place to introduce myself. I could not find another place for text under introduce yourself. I am a 60 year old with Peyronies for the past 6 months. It took three mo to see a gp and another 3mo to see a urologist. That is tomorrow. I have taken pictures but wonder if there are other suggestions for the first doctors visit.

Rob,
You posted in the correct place. On this same introduction board is a topic called Peyronie's Survival Guide. In that post is a list of things to do to prepare for your first visit. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess I should ask for an ultrsound, Pentox, ED drug and maybe a VED.
The suplements like Ubiquinol and L-arginine can hopefully be found in a vitamin shop.
For myself, I need to stop smoking and the self pitty.

Rob,

I too am 61 years old w/Peyronies.  You can read my first post under Pterodactyl, My Story.

It sounds to me you have everything in order for your first visit.  Just be straightforward and give your Urologist every detail you can think of.  Just remember, they are used to hearing this and nothing under the Sun is new to them.

I think, (just my opinion,) that your attitude and getting started immediately on a treatment regimen are the most important options.

You will see from my initial post that I did a lot of things wrong.  The main thing being I did nothing for 3-4 years.

My Best Regards,

Pterodactyl

Rob;
I would advise you to read all you can on this site. The accumulated knowledge about this disease that you will find here is more than that possessed by 99% of Urologists.

Remember, not all Uros are Peyronie's experts. Some know very little about this disease and will try to fob you off with Vit E and "let's wait and see"  don't listen!  You must start fighting this now. I made the same mistake as you and paid for it.

Arm yourself with as much knowledge as you can before you go. It will help you to assess the Urologist.

This should be the first thing to learn when you get Peyronies. :) :) :)

Got amazing support on the forum

James;

Yes, I very quickly learnt that the one at the hospital here in Spain knew probably less than I did about peyronies. He offered me plication surgery as the only possible treatment.  I have never been back since!
