Still unsure if peyronies :(

Hey guys, I've had this thing for about 4 months now. I've had about a ~15 degree left curvature after about a month or so after the injury. It curves to the left pretty heavily as it is filling during erection but after erect is about 10-15 degrees. Also it twists slightly so that the left side of my penis is more to the dorsal side. I've noticed it's narrower some days but other days not really as much. I have not noticed any obvious plaques within the past 4 months.

My stretched flaccid is returned to normal (i have been doing 2-3 hours of traction daily for the past 3 weeks). I have not noticed much pain, just sometimes soreness on the left side or some kind of painless "headache" sensation along left side.

Sometimes when flaccid my penis will randomly curve to the left very heavily. Actually my flaccid penis is generally curved to the left most of the time, but it's pretty mild.

Already went to a uro familiar with Peyronies Disease and he diagnosed me with pelvic floor dysfunction and told me to come back for a follow up after physical therapy.

Went to the PT and she noticed that the left side of my pelvic floor is in spasm but the right side is fine. The left side of my penis is definitely more contracted than the right side and does not expand as much so there is a left curve. Is this fibrosis or just my spasming muscles causing this?

I am not sure if this is just pelvic floor dysfunction or if it is peyronie's as well and I am going crazy not knowing :(. I think I am going to stop traction for now, I feel like if it's just PFD then traction would make it worse?

You have to get an ultrasound to know if it is Peyronies or not.

I got my ultrasound done like 2 months ago, the doc didn't detect any plaques then.

Hey torqueman, I have a similar problem. half erect my penis looks far to the left, but fully and the curve is only 10-15 degrees. I've noticed and deformity i have erect i can see while flaccid too. However i have a noticeable bump that moves around below my head on the left side. I also have pain while flaccid and erection.

Hey Torque,

Let me start by saying that if you have penile bending, for now it's best to treat it as Peyronie's, for several reasons.
The standard treatment is traction, VED therapy, CoQ10 at 300mg a day, Pentox at 400mg 3x a day, low dose Cialis (5mg a day), and possibly several other oral supplements. This means that I definitely do recommend that you continue traction if you have a device. I also think VED therapy could help you as well, just be careful.

You're not alone in feeling crazy about not knowing. Every day for me too, what's perhaps worse than the symptoms is not knowing what is going on. My basic ultrasound also didn't show plaques, but doppler ultrasounds aren't that effective unless you know exactly where you're looking.

It's possible that many of us have something purely vascular, such as vein thrombosis due to pelvic problems. Penile bending due to thrombosis of the penile arteries or aneurysm has never even been documented as being correlated as far as I know. Though each individual symptom has been documented all over the place. I am almost sure I gave myself thrombosis from clenching my pelvic floor for years in order to achieve ejaculation.  

The good news is that the supplements and drugs used to treat Peyronie's just so happen to also treat thrombosis. Pentox was shown in a study to hasten recovery of penile thrombosis, and CoQ10, in a famous Peyronie's study was shown to, more than anything else, improve a penile arterial problem--a problem present in the majority of those whose Peyronie's symptoms improved in the study! While we can't say yet whether the CoQ10 study points out that most cases of Peyronie's are actually a vascular disease, it tells us something important.

What's helped me the most has been to take breaks from sexual activity and to completely avoid clenching my pelvic muscles. If I allow myself to clench during sex or masturbation, I can almost guarantee my penis will be sore and bend after sex. I straightened out my penis for the most part and rid myself of a lot of my symptoms by manually stretching for about a solid year or longer. I don't think traction would aggravate any pelvic floor problems, at least it's only seemed to help for me. You may want to try avoiding sitting, or when you do sit, lean forward with a straight back, so your ass sticks out and your pelvis relaxes. It's easier to do if you don't have tight hamstrings. I also recommend trying to ejaculate while squatting, which has helped myself and a lot of guys when things were bad.

I really feel for you man, since I am driven mad by all these questions and the absolute lack of help or insight from any urologist.  I hope you stay on these forums and share with us what you find out. I'm hoping you can get some improvement of that curve via traction and some oral supplements and traction and VED therapy. I also am eager to know if your physical therapy helps you, since a lot of us have pelvic problems here.

One thing though, do I have to add a substantial amount of traction?

Or can I just stretch my penis out to about erect length via the device, keep the traction very low (maybe 200g) and just wear the device for like 12 hours a day?

Or is it only effective if I have substantial tension?

Don't get overly aggressive with the traction. My doc told me to wear a 'comfortable stretch'. You do need to take a break every 2 hours and let blood flow into your penis before you start another 2 hour session. Bottom line is don't where traction for more than 2 hours at a time without taking a short break.
