I got Peyronies in 2011 at age 55 and my unit started curving upward until it stopped at about 80-85% bent. It was very painful to get an erection so I had to stop having intercourse with my wife. After about 4 months into it and an exhaustive search, I found some medication on the internet which broke down almost all the plaque and that helped stop the pain.

At that same time, I got a doctor approved medical devise for stretching my unit with traction and that helped tremendously to straiten out the curve. I also started doing exercises which aided in the straitening out precess. Now days I am still doing exercises and using the device which helps to keep my unit healthy.

On other forums which include discussions about peyronies, there are threads that talk about the causes of peyronies which include the lack of use of ones unit over the years, and most important, a broken unit. A broken unit happens when a man is not quite erect enough to enter a women, so the unit, though partly erect, sometimes gets hit against the women right next to the spot of entry and if it hits with enough force, then that causes the unit to break thus causing peyronies.

So even though I am somewhat better now, I can still re-break it again if I'm not careful and that goes for every man out there. I recommend doing the exercises once you get rid of the plaque which will eventually dissolve on it's own, but still leave you somewhat curved.

I hope to learn new things here about peyronies to help keep my unit healthy and active. :)

You are one of the very few lucky man that as you say:
Quote...you get rid of the plaque which will eventually dissolve on it's own...
Most of the cases the plaques will not go away without treatment.
Could you give us some more information regarding the exercises you are doing?

The medication I mention in my first paragraph actually dissolves the initial plaque scar, and the rest that remains is eventually dissolved and exits the body with the urine. That's what I meant when I said dissolves on it's own.

The exercises are done in the same way as when your flaccid stretching your unit to mount it in the extender traction device. Grab your unit just below the glands and gently pull straight out until it won't stretch any more then slowly retract the stretch until you can let go. This is a normal flaccid stretch. But if you are doing it for peyronies, then once you are stretched out again, you place your finger on the opposite side of where your curve is, then gently pull your unit against your finger then let go.

This is a very simple and safe exercise to do which I learned from another forum with a peyronies section. I am not a doctor and don't know if the exercises are doctor approved, but I have been doing them for a few years with varied intensity, and I have never had a problem doing them. I'm just passing along what I think is helpful peyronies related info. If you don't think it's useful, then drag it to the trash! Lol

What is this medication you speak of?

Thanks for the information regarding exercises.
I will be happy also to know as Ursus asked the medications you speak of and to understand how the dissolved plaque gets into the urine.

It seems a strange thing, maybe ADF is getting mixed up with terminology?
