Fibrotic tissue or Plaque

Reading around i found that the two conditions are not exactply the same. Formation of fibrotic tissue can be associated to normal aging, smoking, diabetis and other conditions that generally result in ED, but not necessarily in Peyronies Disease. My urologist said that my penis looks a "bit old" but no Peyronies Disease" as usual, when it comes to ED, penuses and Peyronies Disease there is alot of confusion around, even among specialised doctors.

Truth be told, the ED scares me way more than the little indentation on the flaccid penis or the 20 degrees bent on my erect penis which i ve had for ever. Afterall i have no pain and no problem with penetration....for now.

Overall my symptoms are closer to hard-flaccid. Some guys there complain about shrinkage, ED, and indentation when the penis is flaccid. In that case, the syndrom appears even more mysterious.... Shall i cut my penis?

Call it as you wish and be happy it is not Peyronies according to your uro. Did you give you some treatment for the fibrotic tissue?
Shrinkage, ED, and indentation when the penis is flaccid and/or erect is what Peyronies is for many of us
Don't cut your penis and by the way Xiaflex may help with "fibrotic" tissues. The researchers of the Xiaflex are calling the "fibrotic" tissue "not calcified plaques".

Hi james, thanks a lot again for ur insight.

I ve just scheduled an appontment with the 4th uroligist. Also this one has published a bunch of paper about Peyronies Disease on various academic journals. This makes him somewhat credible.

In the meantime, i quit smoking. If the urologist says i have Peyronies Disease, i ll buy a ved and in a few months i fly to the us to have a prp shot.

Does it sound good?

Good start Milione, instead to wait and see.
I was adding Pentox and low dose Cialis

Hi everybody, it s 6.32 am in italy and i can t sleep for i m too happy.

Yesterday i had an appointment with the leading peyronie expert in italy. His diagnosis is that i have zero fibrosis and no peyronie whatsoever.

The little bump/indentation i have, is under the  skin of the penis....not in the tunica. It s like a pimple. He formulated this hypothesis that after thorough palpation.

Anyway, to test his hipothesis, he performed an ecodopler. Needless to say my penis was super shrunk. I was more nervous than ever. Before starting, he said : " now i ll show you your fibrosis".

He applied some gel to the penis, he started using his machine and on the screen the typical peyronie white shadow appeared. "You see? That s your fibrosis" he said. I though i was f'~c<+d for life.

Then, the doctor said, "you are very anxious, arent you? Now i m gonna make your firbosis disappear". So he ingected me with 0.2 mg prostaglandine. After a few seconds the penis relaxed and the white "fibrosis" shadows disappeared!

Bloodflow of my arteries was measured as well. Excellent!

In the end the doctor explained the trick. If one is very nervous/anxious, the body pumps adrenaline like crazy, which makes perineus muscles contract and cuts blood flow to the penis. All this makes the penis shrink big time....in extreme cases, some people are almost always in this state of mind and i guess they experience what is referred to as "hard flaccid". When such a patient, who complains about ED is checked, the unexperienced doctor can mistake turtled penis (due to adrenaline rush) for fibrosis when performing doppler. But the expert doctor who knows what is doing, can tell the difference.

All this costed me almost 4hours drive (forth and back) 500 usd, including hotel, motorway toll fees, petrol and doctor fee. I d spent with pleasure twice as much to reach the same peace of mind i have now. As a result, 4 days after my last 5mg cialis pill, i woke up with a boner at 5.30 am this morning.

If any of you from italy needs the name of this doctor, is free to write me.

Happy for you that you don't have Peyronies.
Please let us know who is the doctor, where he is working and how to contact him.
We don't have any doctor from Italy in our list, basically very few doctors in Europe.

This is one if the most interesting things I've heard.

I don't trust the peyronies diagnosis too much and am still confused about my own symptoms. I have no idea ... What the hell!?

Milione, do you have bending or indentation?

james1947

NeoV

I definitely don't easy trust doctors in general because of my bad experience in many subjects.
But if you have all or part of the symptoms and an ultrasound is showing plaques also, you have Peyronies.

Hi neoV, i have a slight bent towards the right. We are looking at 20 degrees, that i ve had for ever. I also have a little indentation on the right, visible only when the penis is enflating

As for the urologist i saw yesterday, his name is giorgio cavallini. He sees patients in bologna, ferrara and padova. If some italian wants to contact him, his email is: giorgiocavallini@libero.it

He published several articles about Peyronies Disease on major academic journals. Here are a few examples. His diagnosis sounds pretty credible to me :)
