Hi

I'm in the UK, 50+ and married, and had Peyronies confirmed by a urologist (on NHS) last week after finding a small lump (centre shaft) around 2 months ago. I've not suffered much pain, just the odd twinge, and it's straight (so far at least) despite a crease opposite the lump. The lump seems to still be growing, now like a large, misshapen pea.

The urologist pretty much said just live with the Peyronies until it becomes a problem but from what I've read so far it should be possible to do something to reduce the effects as it progresses. I'm booked in to see my GP in a couple of weeks so will discuss it then.

I'm not sure I have any questions yet. I still need to absorb more of the info here and elsewhere but it helps just getting it down in writing.

It will be the worst thing just to wait. Treated early, Peyronies can be defeated.

It's important to get started on pentoxifylline and possibly a more extensive oral regimen, as well as ved or traction. The advice to wait is common, but not useful.
