So I got Peyronies

It's a hard thing to talk to anyone about. My partner and I started noticing the curvature about 5 months ago after I felt a slight pain during erection, and the curvature got worse and worse. I can vaguely remember slipping once or twice during sex that cause slight discomfort but nothing that left it sore or that I would describe as painful.
I visited a Urologist (took 2 months to get the appointment) and he gave me a simple examination, saying that yes I do have Peyronie's and that it was less common for young healthy men (I'm 29) to get this. He said that he doubts it will get worse, but explained as long as I can Penetrate then I don't have a real problem. He recommended I take Vitamin E, so I have been since then but no real improvement.
That was about 3 months ago, and now it's angled even further, probably an additional 15 degrees. I'm worried that this is going to get even worse. I have read some of the treatments you listed here, and I appreciate that there's a community here. At least people who are going through the same thing as I and can offer advice or help.
I don't feel comfortable going down the surgery route, the pain is less than before, it's just that I would like to prevent further curvature so that I can have kids someday. My job keeps me very busy so I don't really have much time to do a lot of research. I do my best to exercise, sleep well and meditate. But my job is stressful and this added stress is making masturbation (since my partner is away now for what will likely be 6 months) less enjoyable.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The first thing you need to do is to arrest any further worsening of your condition, if possible. Good blood supply to the penis is crucial. You need Pentox, ALC, l-Arginine or Citrulline malate, possibly low dose Cialis too. This disease is best treated as early as possible.

Your Urologist doesn't sound like he knows much about Peyronie's disease. Find another one, there will be a list of Uro's in your area on this site.

Surgery is the last resort, and only then if penetration is impossible. But it's essential you get started treating this now!  Vitamin E won't do you any harm, but it won't do much for your Peyronies either.

Read all you can on this site, if you have any more questions, fire away, somebody here will have an answer for you.

I would say welcome, but this is a club none of us really want to be members of...!

Over all else I would recommend the basics. Cialis, pentox, and VED. Getting a VED was the best thing I did, and the earlier the better.I may be speaking too highly of them, but I simply cannot imagine treating peyronies without the VED. I regret bitterly that I didn't get one sooner.

Vitamin E will thin out your blood at least, and it is an antioxidant. While it has been disregarded in general as a standalone treatment of peyronies, there are studies suggesting it to be beneficial, and the basic science of blood thinner + antioxidant warrants it's usage. Do check your testosterone and vitamin D levels as well.

There are many treatments, and as you learn more you should find yourself improvement! Don't lose hope, the beginning is the darkest, but you will find a way through this.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
-I'm already trying to find an affordable VED - do you have any you recommend with positive results? (I've read some of the forum but it's been since 2010 for some of the postings...)
-How will I use information on my testosterone and Vitamin D levels?
-Cialis, Pentox, ALC, l-Arginine or Citrulline malate...I am usually wary of taking any medicine let alone mixing them.

-What do I do if there is no decent urologist that specializes in Peyronies Disease here in Vancouver? The last bloke I went to just said to take Vitamin E and made me feel as though I should be ashamed for complaining when there are likely others with more "serious" problems out there.
Ugh.

Thanks again for your help folks.

jyodan:

(1) You can get more info on VED's at: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/board,38.0.html and more specifically on cost at: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,1270.0.html

(2) Your testosterone should be at the higher level of you specific range. For example, if your range is 500-900, you want to be near that 900 number. Vitamin D should be at the higher level as well. If you take 2,000 mg/day, you should be just fine.

(3) Cialis, Pentox, ALC, l-Arginine or Citrulline malate have no contraindications with anything else we're doing here so feel free to add them to your program.

(4) If you can't find a Peyronie's oriented urologist and can't travel then get a regular urologist who is willing to prescribe just about anything you ask for. Then, come here and we'll guide you through what you need.

Good luck.

In my opinion, you should be careful indeed when taking/combining medication.
I was going slowly with them.
The advises bellow are my private opinion, based on what I have learned on the forum.
Start with Pentox on per day, increase to two and then to three.
Pentox makes the red blood cells flexible and able to enter the smallest veins and supply the with oxygen.
Be aware Pentox is weakening the immune system, so if you get flue for example stop taking it.
Cialis is lowering the blood pressure and is not advised also to someone that have high blood pressure.
Low dose Cialis, 2.5 mg is for maintenance and fight the scar tissue, monitor if it makes something to your blood pressure.
L-Arginine may lower also blood pressure.
VED is also a main component in Peyronies treatment but caution with it also as advised by Old Man

Bottom line, need to be careful but not scared from starting a treatment.
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum
