Hello friends,

at first – sorry for my English, i am not a native English speaker. Anyway, i would like to introduce you and ask for your opinion and for a help.

My name is Marek and i am a 31 old male. It seems, my Peyronie´s started at this year´s February. I was ill that time (some virus with a flu and high temperatures hit me) and it took about 2 weeks. At the half of February i noticed my shaft looks like edematous on it´s left side and the erection became little bit painful during a few days. I thought the reason was my illness (maybe some kind of inflammation or imunity problem) and hope it will stop on it´s own. But at the half of March my erection became more painfull, so i decided to visit an urologist also with some photos of my erected penis. He told me my penis looks to be OK and haven´t found any plaques, so i don´t need any medical treatment and i should visit him again after 3 months. But shortly thereafter, at the half of Apr, the pain during erection became extreme and it was impossible to masturbate with full erection or have a sex (i am single so there wasn´t an occasion for an intercourse anyway). So i decided to visit an urologist again, but there was only his colleague in the surgery. He told me it doesn´t matter and examined me again (now also with a sonograph or something like it). The result was different as before – now the doctor found some scars in my penis and confirmed it could be Peyronie´s disease. He was very kind and ask also his older (and more experienced) colleague to look at me, but after both of them examined me again, they gave me a contact to a specialist in another clinic, which should be interested in Peyronie´s. I visited him at the begin of May, showed again the photos during the erection and told him everything. He prescribed me vit. E, Colchicine and Ibuprofene gel to applicate on my penis and asked me to visit him again after 3 months. I was still optimistic and hope it could help. The result was positive and negative togehter. The positive thing – my erections became not so painful as before (the pains occurs only when the erection is very storng), but the edematous was still there (the same size). What was bad, it seems there developed some dent at the right side and also a something like hourglass effect. I visited the doctor two weeks ago again and he stopped me to take a Colchicine, and prescribes me a Tamoxifen instead of it. So my current cure is following: Tamoxifen 2x10 mg, vit. E 400 mg a day and i bought also an Acetyl L-carnitine and take 2 x 1000 mg a day. I continue also with Ibuprofene gel twice a day. Please help me with your opinion if this cure is enough or if it´s only a waste of a time.

Generally, my penis has the weird kind of hourglass deformity, but it´s not so extreme yet. I haven´t noticed any shortening thanksfully, any significant bend and feel only minor pain during the erection (maybe only because of the Ibuprofene). I don´t have a problem with an erection, but it´s not so strong as used to be – but maybe it´s only psychological effect, because i know there´s something wrong in my penis. But the worst thing is, i am afraid of the future. I feel too young to end my sexual life. It kills me psychically, i am depressed and lost a big part of my self-esteem, especially against a women. It seems like i lost an interest in a women and dating. I masturbate with a good erection, but no enjoy it as before. My last 6-years relationship ended last summer and i haven´t an intercourse since last year´s December (it was only one night). I´ve been dating with one woman since this year´s April, but it´s only a friendship, not sexual relationship. Anyway, i told her about it and she encouraged me. Regarding the sex, my last opportunity was a two months ago at one party with my female-colleauge, but i gave it up. I was afraid of her reaction to my penis.

That´s why i am here. It´s good to know i am not only one man in this world with this horrible disease. I found here a lot of experiencies and recommends. But anyway, what do you think about my current treatment? Is it enough? I read a lot of about Pentox here, but i am not sure if my doctor is familiar with it. We agreed the next visit at the begin of October, so i maybe ask him about Pentox. Or do you think i need go to visit him immediately and ask him to stop with the Tamoxifen and prescribe a Pentox instead of it?

Many thanks

P.S. If is here someone from Czech or Slovakia, could you please recommend the best specialist for Peyronie´s in this area?

Jonbinspain

O.k. First of all you need a scan. The scan will confirm the presence of plaque. It will also tell whether it is calcified or not.
Keep taking the ALC, Vit.E is o.k. But it won't help with Peyronies a lot. Yes, if you can get your doctor to prescribe Pentoxifylline, that will help greatly with the pain, and will help to halt the progress of this disease. Also consider, CoQ10, Arginine or Citrulline Malate.

ALC has been shown, in at least one study, to be more effective than Tamoxifen. So, I would ask your Doctor for Pentox, and quit the Tamoxifen.

Hi Jonbinspain, thanks for your reply. Yesterday, i have visited new urologist in Ostrava, Czech republic. He checked my plaque and confirmed it´s not calcified yet. But the main reason why i visited him was that he researched a Peyronie´s treatment by a cold laser some years ago with a good results, so i was interested in this type of treatment. He recomended me this treatment together with the Verapamil injections. Anyway, i am still thinking about Pentox, but he also wasn´t familiar with Pentox as a Peyronie´s treatment. Btw, he told me that Tamoxifen (i am still on it, as prescribed from the another urologist before) is absolutely needless in my case.

I decided to try Pentox at first and if it won´t help i will try Verapamil and cold-laser treatment as my last chance.

But the problem is - how to buy Pentox without prescription? Could you please recommend some trustworthy source or website/store in Europe?

Thanks

Jonbinspain

Marek;

We're not really supposed to recommend, or promote any business. But, a lot of the guys here, including me, buy here

https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/trental

Trental is the generic name of the drug. If you look on this site you will find various studies as to how it can be effective in treating this horrible disease.

Pay strong attention to the customs checkings as long as you are from EU. There's a strict control of packages that come from India or non-EU or 'risk' countries. Two years ago I ordered Trental from RiverPharmacy to friend's postal address in Czech Republic, but the customs detained the package, called the friend and asked about it, sent it to the laboratory for drug checkings etc...the friend had to lie and told them that he didn't know about it and said it was probably a mistake. otherwise he would be fined and who knows if not something worse...

but to the honor of RP - I wrote RP there's a problem at the customs, they wouldn't give me the package. Asked RP about returning the money and they immediately sent the money back.

If you really want results, you have to take Pentox, low dose Cialis and CoQ10.
All the above are additional to VED therapy.
Treat it now when it is in the beginning. Don't wait.
From our forum experience, Verapamil injections helped very few, I am proposing you to read the topics on:
Verapamil - Injections & Topical Applications including Iontophoresis - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums
Regarding Tamoxifen, I think your second uro is right.

Hi all,

many thanks for your posts and reactions.

Now i am more than one year after the first symptoms started and almost ten months after my intro, so it´s the time to bring you some chronological update/my experiences.

8-9/2013: my ,,first line" treatment with the Tamoxifen and Colchicine was absolutely useless and i decided to try a Pentox. I haven´t any real idea how to explain to my doctor i need the prescription so i decided to order it by River pharamacy. It arrived after some days and i had to pick up it in a local custom clearance office. It was the same day as i had an appoitment with my uro. But the custom clearance officer smiled to my face, because there´s no possiblity to receive the drugs from non EU country to Slovakia (the same as Ralf3 writed below). So i decided to ask my uro for a prescription – and he did it!

10-12/2013: i started with Pentox, ALC, L-arginine, CoQ10 and decided to try a Verapamil injections + laser therapy by another uro. IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE!!! 10 painfull injections worsened my symptoms and caused the extreme dent at the left side. At the december last year i decided to buy the VED, because i felt a loosing of lenght/girth

1-2/2014: continued the treatment + VED everyday. I was absolutely pain free, but the situation worsened. The plagues were more palpable and a front part of my shaft become hard also when flaccid. Hourglass/dent still present + i developed approx 20 bend to the left and 45 sharp down bend at the half of my shaft

3-4/2014: still continued the treatment + VED, pain free. The big dent at the left side become less visible, still 20 to the left, but the downward curvature look like it moved! It was in the middle of the shaft before and it moved forward – it looked as only the glans is bent downward.

Now: i am still on Pentox, CoQ10, L-arginine + VED. The hourglassing at the right side is almost non visible, but it think it´s only because the left curvature developed (still approx 20). The downward curvature at the end of shaft is improved, but i lost a girth and also the lenght (i was ca 16 cm before, during the winter appprox 14 cm and now i am back on 15 cm – thanks to the VED). No pain and pretty good erection. I have still the multiple plagues, sometimes they are extremly hard (when flaccid), sometimes almost non-palpable. I don´t understand why and can´t  find any coherence/reason why is it so.
I am single and avoiding a sex... although i feel i am still able to have it, but afraid a women´s reactions to my weird penis and also not sure, if i will be able to satisfy a woman because of losing a girth. I feel like i am a virgin again :-/
Now i am not so depressed as last year, because i feel there still could be some hope. My biggest fear is only the bend to the left side will continue to develop, but i hope not...

Thanks and wish a good luck to all of you

It seems that VED, Pentox, ALC, L-arginine, CoQ10 really helps you.
I was adding low dose Cialis (you don't have ED so 2.5 mg daily) because have some researches that shows better improvement from Pentox and Cialis combination.
