Hi. Im a 25 years old argentinian new to this forum. I've been reading because I think I might be suffering from Peyronie. Im not, according to some urologists I've been to, but the truth is that I notice a slight curvature that im not quite sure that I had before and that I noticed 2 months ago. This friday Im having an ultrasound doppler (a common one: no induced erection or color, here they consider it enough, altough I have my doubts). There's no palpable plaque but I can't help but worrying since I've noticed a vein like inflammation that the last urologist I saw didn't know exactly what it was. The think is im trying some preventive measures. Im on arginine and ubiquinone and trying to eat better. Even if I don't have anything this things can't do anything but improve my overall health or at least they won't hurt me. Things like ubiquinone are almost non existent here in argentina: I bought 2 Jarrow ubiquinol and Im having difficulties getting them through customs. I ended up buying ubiquinone that some ebay-like importer got here.

To make long story short I wanted to ask (and hope that it perhaps works as some kind of useful input for the rest of the forum!) about one product that may help in reducing general inflammation, something that I read is one of the main objectives of many of the members who are trying to lead an anti inflammatory diet.

A member posted this article What Causes Inflammation? | Foods That Cause and Prevent Inflammation | How To Reduce Inflammation Naturally . In it the author mentions a product called Zyflamend that it's porpoused to reduce general body inflammation. It seems to give relief to people who have systemic inflammation issues (osteoarthritis for example) and there are even some studies showing benefits against some types of cancer, like pancreatic and prostatic. I've searched through the forum and didn't found anything but a couple of mentions. Altough I've read quite a lot of information here in the forum Im sure there are more knowledgeable guys who can check the effects and if they may be in some way benefical for peyronie. As far as I understand, if lowering general levels of inflammation is good, then this may aid in the fight. Im thinking of ordering some (this time sending them to another location here in Argentina, someplace where the customs may be a bit more flexible) as it may help me with some joint pain I've been experiencing.

I opened this for discussion, hoping it may help with this complicated disease. Here are some links to studies

Zyflamend suppresses growth and sensitizes human pancreatic tumors to gemcitabine in an orthotopic mouse model through modulation of multiple targets.

There are more here http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=es&q=zyflamend&btnG=&lr= as you can see. I havent read any that mentions something that sounds related directly to peyronie, at least to me (nitric oxide, tgf beta, fibrotic tissue just to mention some "keywords") but perhaps someone can find a more clear link or maybe it happens because no research is pointed in this direction but rather to cancer.

Excuse my poor english, I hope that I've made myself relatively clear. Best regards, this seems to be an excellent community. Never read such a polite and respectful forum in my whole life

Welcome to the forum :) I know you was more happy not to be here :(
Let us know the results of the ultrasound. It is enough to make it without induced erection, especially if you don't have ED also. You may guide the doctor where to check, usually if have some plaque will be in the area of the bend.
QuoteIm on arginine and ubiquinone and trying to eat better.
is a good start.
I will move later your post to "Introduce Yourself", you may get more attention.
Regarding your English, is just fine. Many of us are not native English speakers :)

Thanks for the welcome! If you decide to move the post perhaps you could split it so the Zyflamend part remains in this subforum and a discussion as an oral treatment is possible?

You are right regarding the discussion, I will not move it :)
