Im confused as to why there are so many and which is best to take.

Ive been reading articles for fat loss by Charles poliquin and he sells two types  acetyl-L-carnitine and L-carnitine tartrate. Now I also know there is PLC which I have been told before on this forum doesn't really do much for peyronies or blood flow.

So from those two which is best for the fat loss and penis health?

First part of his post. Buy Acetyl-l-Carnitine as it is the only one that has shown to help.

I duno, I cut Acetyl-l-carnitine out of my supplement stack after the Clevland Clinic study came out showing it clogs your arteries and causes heart disease/heart attacks. I was also getting pains and discomfort in my heart similar to when I used to drink energy drinks, and these pains stopped when I stopped taking ACL. Interestingly enough, energy drinks which are obviously bad for your heart, are packed with l-carnitine.

@Craig, I thought the same thing when I heard that report, but it's been disputed. I think Acetyl L-carnitine is ok, but just L-carnitine may be harmful.

Here's a thread on the subject....

Very interesting. But how is Acetyl-l-carnitine broken down or taken out of the body? Does it eventually end up in the intestines like l-carnitine?
