Moneer

Hi all,

I've done modified nesbit surgery 4 months go to correct downward curvature, and it has been corrected with minimal length loss and sensation preservation, which I am very glad about. However, since the penis was de-gloved, I am concerned about the following:-

1. The circumcision scar line still hurts when touched. Its still bumpy and touching it causes pain, sometimes unbearable and very sharp. This makes masturbation painful (and i would assume sex too). I am worried of chronic pain due to nerve damage? Did any one experience this?

2. At ejaculation, the glans hurt  from the inside (at the top). this has gotten better since week 6 but it still causes uncomfortable pain. Becomes more painful at 2nd or 3rd ejaculation. Any similar experiences?

My birth circumcision wasnt done properly to begin with (lots of fireskin leftover), perhaps causing these issues when penis was degloved / re-corcumcised.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Moneer,
My de-gloving scar was also VERY sensitive for quite some time after my surgery. It was also stiff and not very flexible for a time if that makes any sense. It took some time, almost 8 months and it was completely back to normal. You can't even tell it was there now.

Thanks for the reply, lwillisjr.

Did you use any creams or applied any certain things? Or it just took its time naturally.

Thanks

I didn't use anything, I just let it heal. But I have advice from another forum member that the use of cocoa butter is good for this.

Will look into cocoa butter.

Was the circumcision line a bit "bumpy"? Also was there "dimples" on the circumcision line? I seem to have both and not sure if its going to stay like this forever.

Last question, prior to month 8, did you experience pain during ejaculation? On the circumcision line? Or somewhere else.

Thanks!

Hi Moneer. Relax everything will be fine. I've made the same questions to Dr. Kuehhas and indeed with time things get back to normal. The circuncision line will be sensitive for some time, thats normal. Let time heal. The same for ejaculation. Tissues are adapting, maturing and remodeling. I would say that you should wait at least 6 months for 100% recovery, but it may time a bit more. Best Regards.

I'm at 6 months 20 days after an excision and graft and still feel pain along the circumcision line, it's very bumpy, excessive skin on the bottom side and also have a very hard nodule that sticks out on the top. I also have an internal stitch that causes a bump on the lower shaft which causes a constant itch. The pain is also sometimes sharp, but mostly it's just a raw feeling. Since so many people on here have had better results than myself, starting to think my Doc is a bit of a quack.

From what I am reading on the forum you should not experience what you are experiencing.
Do you talk to your surgeon about the situation?
If yes, what was his reaction?
In my opinion, you should see an other specialist to get a second opinion also.

James,

Yes, I spoke with the surgeon and he said he could make a small incision and remove the bulging stitch, but he gave no suggestions on what to do about the rest other than an implant which I refuse to have. The problem is the surgery was only somewhat successful in straightening and I am afraid if an incision was added to that side I would end up with same problem I started with from the scarring. I completely lost the ability to get an  erection on my own and am using self injections, which does work, but my erection is pointed to the extreme left and can only be moved to a somewhat pointed straight out direction and is painful. I'm really at a loss because I am in the middle of Kansas and there is only one group of Urologists in this area.

It's one of those things of yes I would travel, but where too and who. Almost wondering now if I need someone that specializes in reconstruction.

I know the distances in the US are huge, but you must to see a real good Peyronies surgeon.
Have a few people on the forum that are very happy with they results.
I don't want to advice a specific one, it will be inappropriate as I didn't see no one of them, so I am proposing you to read:

Really sorry for your experience, it should not happen. Some doctors are really incompetent.

James,

I appreciate the post. I really should of got on this forum first. I did ask my Urologist how many of these he's done and he said 20 or 30. He's been in practice for 9 years and I read somewhere after the fact that a doctor that only does 1 a month is not enough, and this guy wasn't even close to that. I only have one of these things and know another surgery is my only option and am just plain scared having anything done again. It is a crap shoot no matter how I look at it.

All of the doctors listed on here are hundreds of miles away from here. Guess I just need to call one, but then I don't know how they would feel about fixing someone else's hack job and what I will be left with.
