Hi there people.

My problems started over 5 years ago when i woke up one morning to find that id developed a "dent"  near the bottom left of my penis shaft. as well as that i had a bend to the left and a reduction in girth although there was no pain or plaque that i could feel. and i could still get an erection.  After summoning up the courage to go to my G.P. i was told that since i could still have sex without discomfort, he didn't see what the problem was. in fact i went to see two more doctors over the next few years and i found them all to be dismissive, disdainful even. and my problem went unacknowledged.

Back then though i was in a long term relationship and my girlfriend was fine about it so our sex life went on as normal, although i was quite insecure about my new skinnier penis size.  We split up 2 years ago and since then Ive found things a lot harder to deal with.  Ive dated 5 or 6 times but i always break thing off before they get physical as i cant bear the thought of "getting it out" and being judged, or turning her off. Ive basically become celibate and alone as i keep the opposite sex at arms length now.

To make matters worse, 2 months ago i bought a water pump after reading that they can help to regain girth, and despite being extra cautious and only using it for 5 mins instead of the recommended 20, it instantly worsened my condition. now i have a "dent" on the right side of my shaft as well  (this ones slightly lower down). before that i was beginning to notice some improvement - now I'm devastated and furious with myself.

I really don't know what to do anymore, it seems like help's non - existent in the U.K. where i live but i cant think about anything else anymore. i not sleeping properly anymore and I'm starting to feel depressed as i have no one that i could risk talking to about it.

Englander,

I split your post off so you would have your own topic.

We have a lot of men here from the UK.  We are also developing a doctors list of doctors that will help men in your situation.  Check out UK doctors on this link.  List of Doctors By Location - UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Peyronies Society Forums

The list is far from complete but it is a decent start.

Tell us if you have tried any treatments of any kind then we will know where to start.

Your GP should give you an introductory letter to a Urologist. In the meantime, read as much as you can on this forum. Most of us live with this pernicious disease, and you will find a lot of useful information from members here.
You should start by taking L- Arginine, Acetyl-Carnitine, and CoQ10. You may also consider Cialis if you have ED. Maintaining proper blood flow to the penis is essential, so certainly start with Arginine & ACL as soon as possible.

I echo everything that Jonbinspain said except to add that a good urologist current on Peyronies Disease treatment will also prescribe Pentox (probably 400 mg 3x daily).  They WILL also prescribe Viagra (or Cialis daily 5mg).  It is not just for ED but actually helps in combating the disease process itself when used with Pentox and L-arginine.

You will likely also want to consider a VED or traction so read the Highlights of each of those boards.  Thanks to Angus, there are topics labeled as Highlights at the top of each board to speed your education on the various topics.

So that is your homework assignment along with looking over the list of doctors from your area and formulating a plan.  ;)

I wish you had been here 5 years ago but at least you are here now.  Best wishes.

Englander,
Vitamin E is pretty much the old school treatment for this ailment. It won't really hurt you, but it is not going to do much in the way of helping overcome Peyronies Disease. if a doctor tells you to take E and wait, you can bet that he is not up to date on his knowledge of the latest treatments. There are many clinical studies that show other approaches with some success. This forum is chock full of testimonials from men who have gained improvement from various oral and physical treatments. I suggest you spend a lot of time reading here. There is a wealth of information. And, you are surrounded by men who have the same goals as you.

Feeling much more upbeat today. Its great to see so many guys out there being proactive about beating Peyronies. its also a comfort knowing I'm not as alone as i thought i was.

Starting my mission this week by booking a doctors appointment and making calls to some urologists. i shall let you know how i get on.

thanks and keep up the good work.

As Hawk has said, Pentox is something that, assuming you don't suffer from any medical condition that dictates otherwise, you should consider.
If your doctor or Urologist won't prescribe it, you can find info on where many members buy on this forum.

FYI the size and shape of your unit makes no difference to women.  It's one thing if you have pain or problems performing but if it's the look and feel then that's something you should probably not worry about too much.
