Bill here. Hello everyone.

I'm hoping this forum can help me because I've had this damned thing for the last two months. It is really worrying me and I'm very afraid of the future.

I have an appointment with a urologist in 8 days time. I first noticed the abnormal bending two months ago. I can still have sex and if it stays as it is I will be able to cope but I'm terrified it is getting worse. :(

I'm in the UK where healthcare is variable to say the least and I wonder if there are any pointers people could give me as to what I should ask at the consultation. When I went to my GP she'd never heard of it and I had to type it in google on her computer before she knew what I was talking about so I really am in the dark here.

In the meantime, should I manually stretch the penis to try and correct the bend? Is there anything else I could do?  Should I avoid any things?

In desperation I've started rubbing comfrey oil onto the area hoping it might help reduce any inflammation and prevent further scarring but I'm not confident.  :(

Billyboy, welcome.

Here are some things to consider and perhaps if you wish, to answer so we know more about your situation. Some of this probably won't pertain to you right now because you haven't yet seen a urologist so it's something to keep in mind when talking to the urologist. It's a good start to see a urologist but if he's not a doctor who handles Peyronie's, you will need a referral to one that does ASAP!! In the meantime you can deal with some meds and tests with the urologist you're going to see soon. Let us know if you have any specific questions:

1. Beside the Peyronie's, what is your health like?

2. What does your diet look like?

3. Have you had your testosterone and other blood work done yet? If so, what are the numbers of these?

Testosterone Free
Testosterone Total
Thyroid Panels (T3, T4, TSH)
IGF-1
CMP Profile
Lipid Profile
CBC w/Diff profile
PSA
C-Reactive Protein
DHEA-sulfate
LH
Estrogens

4. How much protein in your diet?

5. Do you exercise?

6. Have you talked to a Peyronie's urologist? If so, are you taking Pentox? If so, what daily dosage? Have you talked to your doctor about possibly increasing the Pentox dose to 2,400 mg/day? If not, would you consider talking to him about it?

7. Are you taking any supplements?

8. Are you using a VED? Mechanical stretcher? Are you doing any kind of jelqing? Are you doing things to encourage warmth to your penis?

9. Have you tried topical and/or injectable verapamil? If so, results?

10. What else are you doing right now as per the recommendation of your doctor?

11. Do you have ED? If so, does Cialis and/or Viagra resolve it?

12. Ethnicity?

13. What did your medical doctor conclude? Peyronie's? Venous leakage? ED?

14. How long have you had symptoms? What are your symptoms?

15. What treatments have you tried and what were the results?

16. Do you have insurance or means to get treatment?

17. Where are you in dealing with the psychological aspects of Peyronie's Disease?

18. History Details.

Thank you. The other members here will chime in with their thoughts as well. I know it's not easy right now but please keep a positive frame of mind. The last thing you need is to slip into depression and despair. Hang in there. You're not alone. Don't give up because there is no surrender for us. God bless.

Search and read up here on the PAV cocktail. The Viagra/Cialis (The 'V' in the acronym isn't necessary if you are able to achieve firm erections. In addition you will want to research using either a traction device or a VED for therapy. But neither of these are for increasing penis size. This is for the treatment of Peyronies disease. So take extreme care not to over pump or overdo traction. If you choose to go with a VED a medical grade 3 cylinder type is recommended and follow the 26 week protocol posted in the VED section of the forum. 'Old Man' is the expert on the forum for VED usage. You can contact him through a personal message.

Thanks folks for your help. I am most grateful.

I will raise these points with the urologist on Tuesday. I'm prepared to try just about anything to help it but if possible I'd like to avoid the Viagra/cialis as a few months ago I took some Levitra  for a short term erectile issue ( it turned out to be a psychological blip I believe so I didn't really need it ) and ended up with pretty irritating tinnitus which I have to this day.

Lots of food for thought and I feel a bit more clued up on asking the right questions now.

Thank you all once again.
