had surgery more than 3 months ago. intercourse feels like having sex while wearing at least 3 condoms on top of each other. Question? Does anyone have any experience related to this and did your sensation/feeling return post surgery and if so how long afterwards?

What kind of surgery did you have?

I had excision and grafting surgery in 2008. It took 6 months before everything was back to normal.

I was pain free at 2-3 months post surgery. But things still felt different. And the surgical scar was still a bit inflexible. At 6 months all was back to normal. No pain, felt fine, performed well. That was 4 years ago and all has been great since.

Hi there. Yes it takes awhile. I'm starting my 10 week of post surgery, and 6th week since having sex again. My main concern was that I was not able to orgasm or ejaculation, but am happy that 2 days ago I had my first since surgery. The feeling is not as strong as before, but was told by my doctor that it is normal and could take from 3-6 months before I have complete sensations(it's my 2nd month) I was worried too, but I guess it takes time to fully heal. It keeps getting better.

I had plication surgery 9 weeks ago (Oct 25 2012).  Since then, I have noticed achieving orgasm during vaginal sex to take longer than it did prior to the surgery.  Not that this is a negative at all.  I considered myself to have marginal premature ejaculation previously.  I would sometimes wear a condom just for the reduced sensitivity (I am circumcised).  The few times I tried a condom with delay lubricant, it was too strong for me to have an orgasm.

When I masturbate now, after surgery, the delay does not seem to be quite as much.  It has been about a year since we had been having vaginal sex.  With 85 degrees of upward curve, when I would pump up a solid erection, the angle was too much to penetrate.

I believe there may have been some of the nerves pinched by the plication sutures.  The doc said they are too difficult to see when placing the sutures.

I am not displeased or concerned by my very slightly reduced sensitivity.
