Hi All

I'm 31 years old with a downward penile curvature since I was born (30--40 degrees curve).

I live in the Middle East and I came to the united states to correct this problem as it has affected me psychoogically. I was scheduled for surgery last week but when I met the doctor face to face I was a bit concerned since he only had one case of downward penile curvature corrected, plus his nails werent very clean. For such a delicate surgery, I choose not to continue.

I researched this forum and it appears that Dr. levine is one of the best, so I called his office and scheduled a consultation and a tentative surgery, sometime in February.

Readings posts here, it seems that people with congenital penile curvature had a modified nesbit at Dr Levine's clinic, which requires non-absorbable sutures that can be felt and might cause pain.

I am not very comfortable with the non-absorbable sutures concept and would prefer a permenant solution such as plication, despite the associated risks (numbness, loss of sensation).

I would really appreciate any feedback or advice, especially from members that have/had congenital penile curvature.

Many thanks

Hi Moneer

Welcome to the forum.
I hope someone that has done the modified Nesbit will jump in with answers for you.
In mean time, read:

You will find the answers to your questions.

PS. It will not help to get more answers to three almost identical posts and the answers will spread on 3 topics, more difficult to follow up.  :)
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

Moneer,

As a follow-up to James' post, I deleted your other duplicate posts.  It is a violation of forum rules to make duplicate posts.  Since you are new here consider this a helpful tip rather than an official warning.

Good luck

I think you made the right choice not to go with that surgeon.  It's a very important part of your body and you want the right person doing the job.

A question - why do you want this surgery?  Does the curve make it so you can't have sex?  What are the psychological issues you're dealing with?

Thanks for the feedback.

I can have sex, but I guess the quality is not really high. Some positions are difficult or nearly impossible (woman on top) while others are awkward (sideways). My last sexual experience with a girl I really like, ended up quickly by her saying it was so awkward and she mentioned something about her vagina not being able to grasp "it" because my member is curved. This has indeed annoyed me very much. In light of this, I spoke with another girl whom I had sex and she told me that she noticed the curve but wasnt concerned about it and that "I am good in bed".

Another incident I had is when a girl kept asking why I am not inserting "all" my member while in fact I was trying to do so but i guess the curve gets in the way a bit. These issues cause psycho ED as they tend to make me nervous during intercourse.

I just figured if a surgery will correct this then why not go ahead with it and get over these physical and psychological issues.
