hello members. I joined up on the weekend and posted my introduction message. I've only had 2 replies so I'm unsure how to class my peyronies. My peyronies was caused in a sex accident so is a traumatic form. I have a small band like mark on the left of my penis but is only really noticable when masterbating and erect. Noticable a little when flacid. In the same area when erect seems like theres a small indent. My penis is pretty much the same when erect as before the accident maybe a little more bend but is pretty minor. The accident happend around 7 months ago. My condition is stable at the moment. I'm taking col chicine and a multivitamin, had acetylcarnitine for 3 months before multivitamin, this is all the urologist percribed. Not to sure how effective this treatment is as my condition is not improving. The 2 replies have suggested going on Pentox and Ubiquinol. Should I stop my treatment and start a new one? Not to sure as I'm taking avanza(antidepressant) and coversyl plus(bloodpreasure) Anymore information greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't know the reason other forum members did not jump in with answers/ideas. Maybe they are in a busy week, maybe too concentrated in they problems right now or maybe they don't have what to add in addition to the to posts.
I don't think you should stop your treatment, just to add some components. I would add components slowly to see if you don't have side effects but Pentox and CoQ10/Ubiquinol will help with the stabilization and even regression of the disease.
Your condition is stable as you have said, it may be because your treatment that Acetyl L-Carnitine is part of it and is already an achievement. The improvements in this disease are really slow so you have to give time to your treatment.
Try to read more about colchinine on the forum and on the Internet and decide yourself if it is something you need to take. From the other side, your treatment is working so maybe just add Pentox and CoQ10/ Ubiquinol.
Regarding topical vitamin E, I don't think it will help.

Thanks for the information James. Seems like Pentox is the magical drug for peyronies. Just wondering why it is not percribed by urologist here. Also wanting to know how safe Pentox is because of some people saying it has made there peyronies worse just a little worried. If anyone has anymore ideas for me let me know thanks.

Hi Sadboy, I feel sorry to see yet another going through what we have all experienced to a greater or lesser extant. It is so hard to come to terms with.
Pentox is known in Australia as Trental. I had no trouble getting a prescription , but I did ask my GP for it specifically. I started off on three/day but found it difficult with stomach upset/pain. Reduced to two for two months to acclimatise and now am back to three/day with no problems.

I certainly wouldn't cease one treatment to start another. It seems to me the more remedies you can cope with , the better your chances of recovery, but nothing and no one treatment guarantees anything. The main thing is to keep a positive attitude , the same as with any medical problem.

Some cases are worse than others, some seem to improve with time, some seem to get worse. There is no magic cure but we all hope for one.
Cheers

Thinking of changing my treatment to pentox,coq10/ubiquinoland colchicine. Might dump the multivitamin. Does this sound like a good plan? Also does anyone know if there is a forum is Australia? Thanks

Seems like Pentox is the magical drug for peyronies.

Pentox is certainly the treatment of choice to support other treatments like traction, VED, L-Arginine COQ10etc but it gives the wrong impression to ever refer to it as "the magical drug because it is very far from that.  There is no magic with Peyronies Disease, only a complete plan, diligence, and some good fortune.
