post treatment skin care
« on: October 29, 2012, 01:20:05 PM »

What you all using if anything post ved treatment? I found that even using an aloe based lube all the stretching of the skin the ved does leaves me a bit sore  and raw feeling. I started breaking a vitamin E cap open and applying it topically which sped the healing allot but was a pain in the butt due to incredibly viscous consistency of the stuff. I got an idea today and took an 8 oz bottle I had and squeezed 8 E capsules into it and 8 lecithin caps into it and then filled it with......wait for it.......olive oil ha ha. No I dont think oilive oil has magical properties but it is good for the skin and seemed a good choice as a carrier oil for the other two. I plan to slather a bit on after each treatment which I am increasing to 3 times daily (I had been doing 2 sessions of 15 minutes each).

I find that the lube I use with the VED is more than adequate for my skin. The one I am using is a cheapo from Target, I think the brand is "Up & Up". Even after washing, it still leaves plenty of lube for the skin without staining the under pants. I shudder to think what the skivvies look like after these guys finish massaging with olive oil!

I can tell you that no strange look after the olive oil massage, just a little bit shining.
The skin absorbs completely the remain of the oil in about two hours.
The olive oil is also my lubricant for the VED now and works fine.
By the way, I am taking massage ones a week with olive oil designated for massage and my skin looks the same and is absorbed also by the skin in about 2 hours.

Both good suggestions. I like the idea of vitamins A and E together. I used an aloe and E gel this morning and it worked well.

Hi there - how comes none of you have suggested castor oil?

I thought that castor oil was purportedly beneficial in some cases (thackers formula or something like that?)

There are frankly VERY FEW of us here that think "Thacker's Formula" is little more than a rumor or a hoax.  In fact, it is the one topic I considered deleting from the forum.  It was an import from another forum that went under back when this forum was relatively new.  In fact the forum it came from was famous for pranksters anonymously making bogus posts since even guests could post.  A couple members felt it was a loss when that was lost from the other forum so a co-founder (Joshua) salvaged the thread from a site that archives images of other websites.  To me its value is only as "forum history" not as a treatment.  99.9 % of members have not and would not waste time or risk the chance of using it.
