I just read that the tomato:

I didn't post regarding the subject in other topic because we have 30 topics dealing with inflamation, same regarding antioxidant so I don't know where will fit more.
Maybe we can supplement our diet with tomato's?

Strange, I think tomatoes are members of the night shade family and many so-called nutritional "experts" advise against food in this family.

Lycopene acts as an antioxidant but I gather it also inhibits collagenase, so in theory I'm thinking we should avoid tomatoes. Having lived in Italy for more than a decade we tend to live on a mediterranean diet with a lot of tomatoes, so I had never even thought about this.

Tomato is not something you want to be eating a lot of if you have any sort of autoimmune condition.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

So what about the research?
They say it is reducing considerably the chance for stroke and is also a good antioxidant.

I just read that tomatoes are on the do not list for those with inflammatory conditions due to there acidity. Perhaps supplemental lycopene in pill form may have some efficacy?

I just ran out of green tea that I've been drinking and happened to find some rose hip tea in the cupboard, so out of curiosity I looked it up and discovered it is rich in vitamin C and lycopene. Apparently rose hip is a power anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. This might be a useful alternative without any downside risks.

Ashtown, I have no doubt it won't hurt but I think there is very little likelihood it will have any positive impact on Peyronies Disease.

Probably not, however small steps from every direction will hopefully have an incremental effect and it's as easy to drink rose hip tea or green tea as it is to drink coffee.

I agree with Ashtown.  It may provide some overall health benefits but WRT peyronies it is unlikely to impact anything.

Tomatos are part of the nightshade family along with eggplant and other vegtables.  For some people Nightshades can be inflamatory.  Be aware of how your body reacts when you eat nightshades.

In general you want to eat foods that are alkalizing.  Mostly green veggies. Go easy on acidic foods.  Meat is acidic along with sugar.  This is a general rule of thumb to help keep inflamation down.  It will help your entire body not just your peyronies issues.  If you google on this topic you can find extensive lists of foods showing their degree of acidity or alkalinity.

Have you seen any studies to support this alkaline diet? I never have. Sounds like one of those diets that might be accidentally healthy because it tells you to eliminate sugar, but also gets rid of healthy things like meat.

The "alkaline diet" was big in the 90's and was more recently replaced with the "raw diet".  I asked my naturopathic MD about this last year and he said the ph of the foods you ingest is not that closely related to the ph of your tissue and blood.  I purchased ph strips and checked my saliva, and confirmed his advice.  However in my experience with pain, acid and sugary foods do increase inflammation to a small extent.  

One of the problems with eating all alkaline food, and nothing acidic is that it will make digestion very difficult unless your stomach can compensate with additional digestive acid, not an easy feat for most of us especially if the food is raw.     I tend to think reducing sugar though is always a good move and organic fresh vegetables never bad advice.

If you really want to optimize your diet I would recommend working with professional, since we all have individual constitutions and needs.  I see an Ayurvedic practitioner regularly, but there are other specialists that can help as well.  Paleo diet is also supposed to be anti inflammatory.
When you are in tune with the unknown, the known is peaceful.
