H all, i have just found this site after being diagnosed with peyronies disease. I have had symptoms for about 6 months after finding a lump on my penis, i was referred to a consultant and told the news! im 39yo from scotland. trying the vitamin e approach at the moment. i have to go back for an appt with the specialist consultant a Dr ronald donat. the curvature isnt to bad at the moment but suffering from being unable to maintain an erection, luckily my partner is very understanding at this point but not easy for her either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone heard or been treated with an ultrashock wave treatment called ED-1000?

Vitamin E alone will do nothing. Ask your doctor for pentoxyfylline, it is a cheap and reasonably effective drug for Peyronie's (but not a cure). I used it for 8 months and it completely resolved pain during erection and helped restore lost size. Also, get on daily cialis or viagra. These will help you with erections as well as help stop the inflammation process that leads scar tissue. Some men on the forum use the VED device to help increase blood flow and improve deformities. I have not used it but anecdotal evidence suggests that it can be beneficial.

I have not read anything positive about ultrashock treatment.

Another thing you should do is to get yourself in the best shape that you can. Minimize the boozing, no smoking, eat right and exercise. Doing so will surely help improve erections. Good luck and feel free to ask questions anytime.

wlstet, do not ask your doctor for Pentox without first educating yourself about it and printing out the 4 articles on it that are in our Resource Library.  When you reference it, refer to other leading doctors and studies not to talking to guys on an internet forum.  You have one shot to get Pentox from this doctor.  Make the most out of it.

Tell the doctor you found them in the course of doing research, saw that the studies showed some benefit and would like to try them out.

i wish i'd've known about this forum when i was first diagnosed!  let's just say it would have saved me MANY years of embarrassment.  i still wonder if it's linked to other conditions and/or medications...but that's me.
