My problem started just over a year ago. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, and with an abnormal heart rhythms. That was sorted out. I had an Angioplasty, and my arteries were clear. However, I was put on beta Blockers, and a medication called Capenon. A few months later the problems started. Firstly with pain in my penis. That went, but I'm now left with the curvature. I've stopped taking the Beat Blockers some months ago, with little effect. However, I'm still taking Capenon, which contains calcium channel blocking properties. Should I try and get my Doctor to change this? The problem persists, but at least has not got any worse. I'm actually now pretty fit. I go to the gym 4 times a week, and I've lost 28 pounds in weight. My age is 63.

The best think you can do is to see a doctor as soon as possible to diagnose if you have Peyronies and to begin treatment.
Try to read the forum as much as you can to know what other forum members are doing to fight this disease.
Did you have some additional symptoms that may point to Peyronies?
If you will give some more details regarding your symptoms, forum members will be able to give you some advices.

Thanks very much, James. Not as such. However, given that I have never suffered from this problem before, My penis was always as straight as an arrow, then the likelihood of this being a coincidence is very small. The symptoms, including the pain at the start, all seem to tie in with what I've read about the onset of this disease.
I saw my doctor this morning, and she has changed my blood pressure medication to something called Olmertec, which she assures me does not contribute to this problem. She certainly didn't dispute my assertion of Peyronie's. Next step for me is to see if the problem will go of it's own accord - Is there any rough time period in which one should start to see an improvement? - if not, it's off to see a Urologist.

Is the WORST thing you can do!!!
It is right that in some cases your symptoms will go alone, but is a very bad idea to wait and see because in most cases it will not.
To treat the pain and stop progression of the disease you have to begin to take Pentox as soon as you can.
If you can tolerate it, take 3*400mg daily, if not 2*400mg daily during meals. I have started with 400mg daily, increased to 2*400mg daily with minor side effects that disappeared during time. Tried 3*400mg, had too much side effects, I am now on 2*400mg daily.
Ubiquinol will help also, 2*100mg daily.

I appreciate your input, James. Thank you. I guess that I will have to go back and see the doctor and try to persuade her that I need to see a Urologist. If not, I will have to think about going privately. There is no pain, and hasn't been for some while now. There was at the start, but that went, just leaving the curvature. Currently, I take CoQ10 300mg. Around 5g of L -Arginine, and Acetyl L Carnitine. I presume that Pentox is only available as a prescription drug?
I should point out that I am very fit for my age. I spend 6-7 hard hours a week in the gym. In general, I feel good. It's just this problem, which is also currently ruining my sex life. Which the wife is not happy about.

Pentox it is a prescription drug.
When you go back to your doctor, bring her as much as you can documents and testimonies regarding Pentox.
