Hi everyone!
My name is Max, I'm 20 years old and I've recently moved to Canada.
The whole thing began about 6 months ago when i used to live back home. My girlfriend and I used to hook up like 2 or sometimes even 3 times a day without any problem. But I always had this crazy painful morning erections and the pain wouldn't go away until we had sex. And a month before I move to Canada, one day we were just lying together in bed and then my gf realized the curvature in my penis and she asked me if it's something normal and i had no idea! I couldn't believe that i didn't realize it myself all this time or maybe it wasn't like that before.
It has a 25-30 degrees curvature to left and it's completely towards up and when it's erected it sticks to my belly.
Anyway I didn't have much time then cuz of the whole moving thing, so I didn't go to see a doctor. Also need to mention when i was a kid i found out that i have some sort of a tumor (maybe half an inch) right beside one of my testicles (the one on the left side) and i went to a doctor and he said this tumor has sperm in it and it's nothing and you don't need to be worry about it. But I'm starting to thing that maybe he was wrong.
In the past few months I've been so busy busy that i didn't even get a chance to think about it. But now I'm starting to freak out, These painful morning erections are killing me and I had no sex for more than 6 months now. I'm also starting to think that the curvature is getting worse and unfortunately I believe that I have the Peyronies Disease. =(
My English is not good, so i apologize if I had any kind of mistake in my post. I would really appreciate any help from you guys.

Best regards,
Max

Sorry to hear that you have this problem in a so young age.

My first advice is to see a good urologist (better male disfunction specialist) to see also what your are mentioning in your testicles and to see if you have peyronies or not.
Regarding the pain, Pentox can help, many of us are taking this medication in our treatment for Peyronies. Is a prescription drug.

I am advising you to read more on the forum to understand Peyronies and to be ready with knowledge before you see the doctor.
The boards of "Introduce yourself" may be very useful, you may find answers to many questions.

Hi James,

Thanks for your quick and kind reply, I've already read some of the topics on the forum and I find this forum so nice and helpful. I never had an accident or hurt my penis or anything like that. It might sound stupid but could waxing be a reason for this disease?!
I really feel like it's getting worse and I don't even want to pee anymore because every time I see my penis I freak out. I'm gonna go and see our doctor this week and ask him to refer me to an Urologist. I'm really scared I'm only 20 years old and never dealt with such a thing specially now that I'm living in a new country it's so tough=(

I can understand your feeling even I am much older than you.
Personally, this disease devastated my life.
Just don't give up and begin a treatment as soon as you can. You are young and you are in the beginning of the disease, the chance to do something to stop the progress and even revers it are good. Maybe your doctor can subscribe you Pentoxifyline (Pentox, Trental).

I hope some of our UK members will jump in with some more local advices.

Good luck with the uro. Hope you are ready for the "confrontation" with him.
Try to enlarge your knowledge as much as possible before the appointment.

Hi James,

So I went for the Ultrasound yesterday and they told me the mass or the tumor is something common, there is nothing to be worried about and It has nothing to do with the issues that I'm having. But they're going to send the result to the Urologist anyway.
Also got a call from the doctor's office, I don't know why but they rescheduled me for Tuesday, So fingers crossed and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about Peyronies disease as you said.
I can't even get a good sleep anymore and when I do I see nightmares=(

I will cross fingers for you to have good results from the uro appointment.
It seems me somehow strange the Ultrasound answer that:
Quotethe mass or the tumor is something common, there is nothing to be worried about and It has nothing to do with the issues that I'm having.
The ultrasound guy (or lady) are not Peyronies specialists.
They suppose to say what kind of mass or plague you have and if it is calcified. I hope the uro will tell you and if not, insist to get a clear explanation.

James,

The Ultrasound lady told me what the mass is but I don't remember the name she used for it, that's why I asked them to send the description to the Urologist I'm going to see. And when I see the doctor I'm gonna explain everything.

James,

I just came from the doctor's office it was an hour drive, His office was so busy busy and he just spent like 15 minutes with me! He examined me and I showed him some photos of my penis in my phone and right after he saw them, he said you have the Peyronie's disease and this is really bad at your age=(
He said the curvature is not that much and I can still have good sex And the pain I'm feeling is caused by the scar that is shaping right now and it's gonna go aways after a while.
I asked him about Pentox and he said you're so young and it's not the appropriate medication for your age and he prescribed me  L-Arginine Pills one tablet a day for six months, he also asked me to monitor the curvature accurately and if I realized that it's getting worse go and see him again.
What do you think ?!

Max

I think if he decided that you have Peyronies just from the photos and based on his answers to your questions you have to find an other doctor.
To decide if what you have is Peyronies, he may check by trying to find the scar tissue/tissues by touching and by ultrasound.
First, Pentox is best for people that they are in the acute stage to stop the disease from progressing and shaping and against the pain.
Second, the pain is going away in some cases, some cases not.
L-Arginine is a supplement and not medication, don't need prescription just in case that the insurance company will cover the expenses. What is the daily dosage he prescribed to you? For Peyronies, most of the people are taking 1000mg to 2000mg.
CoQ10 2*100mg daily may help also, is also a supplement.
I am not a doctor, but from my experience and what I have learned on the forum, get on Pentox as soon as you can.
Find an other doctor that will make you a more serious examination and will take your Peyronies issue (not his) more seriously!!!

James,

I think mine is 1000mg as well. He did try to find the scar tissue by touching but no ultrasound.
The hard thing is that I'm totally new to this country, it really sucks I don't even have a family doctor yet and none of the doctors around here are accepting new patients and I was referred by the hospital plus I still have my Medicare card from another province, I just filled out the form and I'm gonna send it tomorrow.
I've found this clinic www.metrovanurology.com/ and i heard lots of good things but first I'm gonna have to find my self a family doctor and then ask him to refer me to this clinic and thats not possible until i get my BC Medicare card and it's gonna take a while i guess plus I have tons of other things going on.
Do you think it's a good idea that I start taking this pills until i see another doctor?!

I am not a doctor, I just can tell you what I have done.
Regarding the L-Arginine, you don't have problems as the doctor itself prescribed it to you. I am taking 2*1000mg in the evening before meal.

CoQ10 is a supplement and don't need prescription. I am taking Ubiquinol that is better for people over 40 but is also much expensive,
100mg one morning one evening before meal.

We are coming to Pentox. I convinced my uro that is a young (40+ :) I am 64 :() open minded to give me the first prescription for 400mg daily.
I begin taking 400mg Pentox during my breakfast (in the middle) for one week to see that I am tolerate it OK and then added one 400mg during the dinner, not late than 5:30 PM (sometime 6:00 PM). I have no side effects.
I have bought 600 pills from riverfarmacy after reading on our forum that they are reliable.
Some on the forum are taking 3*400mg daily, some even 6*400mg daily but with doctor suppervising.
By the way, my uro told me after coming back from a US urology learning conference that today Pentox is the first line treatment for Peyronies, minimum 2*400mg daily :)
You may buy a small quantity (30 pills?) and begin as I begin to see if have side effects.

Hope the information helps

Hi James,

I'm so sorry for writing back with delay, I just got a new job and lots of other things going on and I'm so busy.
I've started taking L-arginine twice a day one after breakfast and one at bedtime but I'm definitely going to see another doctor as soon as I get my BC medicare card and gonna ask him to prescribe Pentox for me, on the other hand I don't want to wait until then and I think I'm going to start taking Pentox as well.
One question, Can I take this two pills at the same time or I should stop L-arginine first ?!
I've checked riverfarmacy and I have to pay $30 for only 30 tablets of Pentox, They charge $25 for shipping over Canada so i think it'll be better to order 60 tablets or more. If you know any other websites please let me know.

Max

I don't think have any problem taking the medications and supplements daily as bellow:
Pentox 2*400mg - one during breakfast, one during dinner (latest 6:00 PM)
Ubiquinol 2*100mg - one morning one evening before meal
L-Arginine 2*1000mg - evening before meal
4mg Cialis evening before meal

The prices you talk about are not logic, very high. Pentox is a cheap medication. See the link bellow:

https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/trental

$5.51 for 30 tablets. US Parcel Post is very cheap also.
