I don't know what i am going to do if the Dr wants to try alt treatments for a year or two.  I have been stable for at least two years. i live 6 hrs from Dallas so i cant drive that for injections for a year or two. No Dr in Amarillo will even start to treat me.

I have all the signs of the only resort SURGERY. (according to most uro surg sites)  Unable to penetrate, able to obtain an erection, stable for at least a year or two.  I'm unable to go two hours with out having to urinate and when i do my stream is strong and flat like you were holding your thumb over a garden hose. When i have to go i HAVE TO GO NOW  or i will wet my self.  The Dr here said it is causing a urethral stricture.  When i finish urinating i dribble after my penis retracts into my abdomen.  I'm tired of smelling of urine and wetting my pants everytime i go to the bathroom.

When i get an erection my pain level is 9 or 10. Penetration is impossible not because of cirvature but shortness and very severe pain. I almost puke its so bad.  My over all length erect is about 4  in and half of that (exactly in the middle) is 1/2 in smaller in diameter. Prior to getting an erection my penis is up inside me (hidden or turtle neck)  and when i get an erection the base and head of my penis is about 1" 3/4 in diameter.  This erection has to be forced through the smaller center portion of the shaft. Its like tyring to force a fully inflated balloon through a toilet paper tube.

During an erection pain level is a 10.  Feels like pouring alcohol into an open cut on my penis! After the erection goes down it remains at a 6 or 7 for several weeks.  If i can go two or three months without getting a full erection (on purpose) the pain level goes down to 0 to 2.

It is running my marriage.  I try to do other things with my wife other than penetration but she has cut me off because she SAYS she doesn't want to hurt me.  I don't know if that's an excuse or what.  I truly think she has lost hope, i can see it in her eyes.  She wont do anything with me unless i beg and that happens every few months and really neither of us are satisfied. And honestly that makes me feel worse, I cant even satisfy my wife.  This has been going on since 2006.  I don't know what I'm going to do if the Dr says try these pills and shots for a year or so.  Its to the point that I'm willing to chance having to have an implant to move on in my life.

Not saying I'm the only one out here with problems of Peyronies Disease but I'm at my last hope.  I hear the run around a lot of y'all are having but it truly scares me that no one will  be able to stop the pain.  I don't want to live a life like this.

Please don't take this like I'm More important or in more pain than any of you guy because i don't.

Sorry for rambling on and i know what you are thinking, "YOU HAVNT EVEN SPOKE WITH TH SURGIN" but i am getting worried and scared.

thanks for listening to me spill my guts.

Reynell  -  First things first!  Yeah, you are right:  "you haven't been to a doctor."  That is not unusual, however, that is the FIRST thing you need to do.  Ask your family Dr. for a referral to a urologist  who specializes in sexual dysfunction.  Meanwhile, search this website for a Doc in Texas who can treat you initially.  Also, calm down:  Easy does it!  We have all been where you are and we totally understand.  What you are experiencing is NORMAL (for men with Peyronies Disease).  You will work through this and be better after you realize that help is available.  I am 67 years old and enjoying a wonerful sex life with my wife of 25 years.  4 years ago I was clinically depressed and suicidal.  Today I am healthy and functioning normally in all aspects of my life.  You asked me something in the PM and I will answer that in a PM.  I am pushed for time this AM, have got to go to work!

I know you are frustrated as all of us with this disease. From the other side, try to be more optimistic and to give Dr. Allen Morey a chance, first of all to help you with the pain that I understand is your problem no.1.

I read his resume, it may be a good doctor.

Also at www.healthgrades.com is appreciated as 4.5 stars, I think is very high.

Maybe he will put you on a treatment that includes Pentox and other medications/supplements that had helped others on the forum

I am very sorry to hear about your condition. I just wanted to say I can understand where you are coming from. I have had Peyronies Disease for 5 years this July. I started being born with a 3rd degree hypospadia witch is an incomplete urethra. My first 3 yrs of life I had to pee sitting down because I had two opening in my urethra one mid way down the shaft and the other toward my testicles. I had 3 surgeries to repair it but its never worked right. Everytime I pee I never know where its going..........I have to lean twist bend etc.... to hit the bowl..............needless to say I am almost 40 yrs old and I am always having to dry my legs and clean the floor.

My Peyronies isn't as severe as yours but complicated too because of all my reconstructive surgeries. I to have dealt with a lot of pain the whole time. It was soo bad for the first few yrs there were times I tryed not to get an erection to the point my testicles edydidomous"sp" "tubes that carry and store semen" would swell and become pronounced. I would finally have to have some sort of release to get it to subside but I would hold out long as possable. Things I found that have helped with the pain were Celebrex, Pentox & CoQ10.  There have been many nights I ve had a frozen bag of vegetables on my crotch or had to sit in a hot bath tub. A few more things I ve learned is not to sleep on my stomach and to wear lose fitting sleep wear with out underwear. I figured out nocturnal erections with no place to go is not good and cause a lot of pain during the waking hours.

The first yr or so I had this I had a girl friend and I remember being so conflicted between the mental and physical aspects of the condition along with the pain. I didn't know if I could satisfy her needs like beforehand I wasn't sure if I was gonna become impotent. I also struggled very hard with will and desire VS my limitations. There were times I would just have to go sleep on the couch because I was so torn between it all.

I didn't mean to ramble on or try up stage you or anything. I just wanted you to know theres some else out there that kinda understands where ya at. I wish you the best of luck and when you see your doc in Texas please post your experience because we do not have a lot of doc in our state that really deal with this condition.

thanks for the note,  sounds like you have problems too. Happy to hear you problems that is part of this site. Every time i feel hopeless i get on here and these guys  give so much hope and information.  As far as the doubts in you mind, i understand the psoivtive side of this (the girl loves you for you and will stand by you, ive been married 30 yrs) but i think there is always going to be a little doubt in our minds its just natural, we are human.  I do think its a bigger deal with us thatn with her.
Your not rambling, just getting things off your chest, you have to do that.  This issue you just can talk around the coffee shop table about.  If you dont have it you dont undrstand.
write me any time

I don't know where you live, but maybe Houston is more close to you than Dallas. Dr. Larry Lipshultz at Baylor College of Medicine Houston, Texas. Some on the forum may give you they opinion, what I have found is:
QuoteThe only Uro I found that dealt in Peyronies and knew what it was about.
Maybe you can send a PM to BrooksBro, and ask his opinion, he is treated by  Dr. Larry Lipshultz.

Don't lose time, go and see a doctor.
