Somacorrect safety

Hi, I hope you're well. A urologist told me he suspects I have mild Peyronie's but I won't know for sure until I do an mri, which will take a while due to waiting times. I'm wondering if it would be safe for me to use SOMAcorrect Xtra. If it turns out I dunt actually have Peyronie's (I think I do) would the device cause me damage?

For background, I've had weak erections and a mild upward curve to the left for 8 years. It took years to actually see a urologist due to Covid and increased waiting times.

Urologist 1 didn't examine me but told me I have Peyronie's and gave me a SOMAcorrect leaflet and referred me to Urologist 3.

Urologist 2 examined me and said I don't have Peyronie's, the curve is congenital, and suspected pelvic floor dysfunction. I went private to see this urologist as I was freaked out.

Urologist 3 examined me a year later and said I have mild peyronie's and is arranging an mri to confirm.

I take Tadalafil daily and would use SOMAcorrect correct if it won't cause any damage if it turns out I actually have a pelvic floor issue and not Peyronie's.

Thank you for your help!

No mention of plaque to thickening of the tunica? It honestly sounds more congenital to me.

Somacorrect doesnt really do anything, even for those that do have peyronies...but its probably not going to do you any damage.

I have to say, your first urologist sounds like a classic NHS Urologist who doesnt specialise in the condition. No examination and just fobbing you off with a leaflet is pathetic.

Hi UKGuy1234, Thank you! It sounds like you may have had a similar experience to me. I don't want to be critical of people honestly trying to help me, especially since the NHS has been so utterly brilliant for me and others with other conditions, but it's been a difficult experience sadly when it comes to getting clarity with ED/Peyronie's. It's been such a long journey so far.

I think it probably is mild Peyronie's, which apparently is quite common. Urologist 3 said he thought there might be a very slight thickening and said I have very mild Peyronie's. Urologist 2 never felt anything. I really can't wait for the mri scan! I need clarity.

Peyronie's does make sense as I do think the curve wasn't there before. It also seems to be very slightly twisted. I noticed it 8 years ago when I had pain, weak erections then followed, so unless it was always there and I hadn't noticed it then mild Peyronie's kinda makes sense. Urologist 3 also said even people with mild Peyronie's can have ED, it just depends on where the plaque is. I can't feel anything but I'm obviously untrained. I definitely don't feel educated enough so trying to learn myself what might be going on, so trying to educate myself on SOMACorrect to see if I can possibly improve things while I wait. Just a little improvement would make such a difference to me, and I know I really am so lucky in that respect. I'm totally grateful for that.

Thanks so much for your help, it's much appreciated.

Now there's some twists and turns..... Surprising they would do an MRI to confirm peyronies. Normally they do an ultrasound.. .good thins is you are on erection medication already. Helps a lot with blood flow to the penis... As for the vacuum device, if you are careful that's the next best thing you can do. Even on mild peyronies. good chance you can have a modest improvement on curvature.....
