I had a question for anyone who has done Xiaflex treatment. Is it pretty typical to not be able to achieve much of an erection temporarily? Even like 2 or 3 weeks after? I had my fist injection and suffered a severe hematoma after the fact. Like days later while asleep It happened but was just told I had the worst hematoma they had ever seen but ended up not believing that it was a fracture. Obviously you can't have sex but I don't even think I could if I wanted to and just wanted to know if anyone felt this way. I'm super young so it's a very unfamiliar feeling. I have already reduced the curve a lot but just worried about log term issues. I can't even use RestoreX (docs orders) and it still went down like 15 degrees. Really just wondering if the hematoma really inflamed something cause the swelling went down fast and now it's just some discoloration. Im young so I think I'' also hyper aware to not having full erections, so I was just curious if people had experiences where they gained full function weeks later.

I had a series of 6 injections spaced several weeks apart. I did have some bruising and learned to take ice packs with me to lay between my legs for the drive home after each injection. I don't recall having any issues obtaining an erection. But I always waited a few days afterwards.

Why did your doctor advise you to refrain from using the ReStoreX? Was it due to the hematoma? Dr. Trost instructed me to use the ReStoreX barely seven hours after the second set of injections and dang, Xiaflex turned my unit into Stretch Armstrong. Dr. Trost instructs patients to carefully wrap their units for about five days after injections as to avoid hematomas.  I had some mild difficulty with erections for about 3-4 months after Xiaflex which Dr. Trost advised was normal. Xiaflex is no joke.

-Daily Restorex use to prevent recurrence

Yes, they recommended 48 hours after which is a little outdated I guess but the hematoma was bad bad. I mean everything was discolored. I went to the ER and they thought I'd was a fracture at glance but my actual urologist said it seems more like a terrible hematoma. They only had me wrap it for two days (mistake number 2) which I will be wrapping for a very...very...long next time. The erection thing is a reassurance so thank you for that. The hematoma even kind of left a mass behind which I guess is normal but I've just been trying to get my mind off of it and not force anything.
