Hi all!
Been lurking on here for the past few weeks since I suspected I might have early onset peyronie's. I felt a sudden worsening the past few days, and today I woke up with a 45ish degree curve to the left when erect, which is what prompted me to write this.

It all started with pain on the left side of my penis during masturbation about a month ago, I was slightly sore from before (over-masturbated during february because of stress). After that I had swelling, dull pain/ache and difficulty getting an erection for some time, and I could feel a bumpy half ring on the left side near the glans (going around the left cc I suppose). A lot of weird symptoms.

It started improving and feeling a little more normal until this Monday 08/04 when I woke up with an erection after a couple weeks without a strong one and I wanted to check how it felt and looked. It looked mostly ok, thankfully. it hurt a little. However I feel like I might have reinjured it then, maybe by the erection itself, or by slightly straightening the erection by hand, not forcefully. I did not masturbate and haven't done it in weeks now.

The swelling and occasional dull ache returned. the past 3 days I've been waking up with a stronger curve, especially today at what looked like a 45 degree curve, which was shocking. I already had a congenital curve at around 15ish degrees in the same direction, but this sudden curve was too much.

I'm still waiting for a urologist appointment, the healthcare system here in Sweden is rather slow. Primary care took a looked at me and said "it's like a bruise, give it a few weeks"... It sucked not getting any help. I asked about cialis and he was clueless and said I should let it rest and not be getting erections.

I've been proactive and been taking supplements since early on:
vit E
coQ10
L-arginine
L-citrulline
L-carnitine
zink
Magnesium

I've read a lot about peyronies already but would still appreciate input on what I could or should be doing at this stage. And would love to hear if someone had a similar experience and how it progressed.

Also, is there any chance my curve could improve or resolve entirely, that it's just the inflammation pulling it tight and it could subside?

Welcome Leftbanana to the forum. If you have not done so please download and study our survival guide -->Survival Guide . This will give you a better understanding about peyronies and it's treatments.

Peyronies is a very unpredictable disease as how it affects each man differently. Injury from sex is common but some men get it from nothing related at all. Yes it is very upsetting and can cause a lot of anxiety and worrying, but you need to get control over this early on.

Congenital curves are normal but pain and bends are not. How are your erections? Any pain? Cialis can help with healing the inflammation and keep things stretched out somewhat. The supplements may help with reducing body inflammation but will not heal peyronies. There have not been any clinical studies with them as I am aware.

You need to educate yourself first regarding peyronies and get a list of questions for your upcoming Dr's appointment. Now realize that peyronies Dr's are few and far between. If you can find a urologist who will work with you that is better than one who is uneducated.

You should look into traction and VED therapy.  The PMP and Restorex are what a lot of men use for traction. The PMP has a lighter pulling force and the Restorex is stronger with the added benefit of counter bending. It just depends on your time investment with each one. VED therapy will also help you in the healing process. Read up on these and educate yourself. Also decreasing sexual activity when you are in pain can help. Using a lot of lube and being gentle also helps too.

You must also get the mindset that peyronies is a marathon and not a sprint. A lot of men want this healed now and that is not how this disease is approached. The acute stage is very different for each man in how long it lasts and is unpredictable. With time and a game plan though you can make it through this! You have rached the best forum regarding peyronies on the net and these guys here all understand your pain. :)

Thanks for the reply Mikel7!

yeah, I've had a good look at the survival guide, hence why I got some of the supplements.

my erections are weak (from what I notice when I wake up) and non-existent during the day. they don't really fill out the glans/ top if my penis that well. I feel sometimes a light soreness or swellign on the injured side, kind of going into the body/groin area. I'll try to get a cialis prescription from my GP. Is it safe this early on in the process?

Regarding traction, it would probably be the PMP, restorex isn't available in Europe. I think maybe it's too early for that, I don't want to risk re-injury. And I don't think my penis is hanging "loose" enough for it right now..
For sure, I haven't actually masturbated for several weeks since it only seems to aggravate, even just by getting and checking the erection. Should I stay put and let it heal for a few more weeks?

Let me know if you have any other advice on getting past the inflammation phase! I'll try to stay optimistic here, haha.

Cialis is safe and will provide added inflammation reduction and help with keeping your penis filled with fresh oxygenated blood. Starting traction soon should help with preventing any more curvatures and size reductions. Doing nothing will not help you out at this point. Being proactive with a plan of action is a must. Remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Also have you taken any preliminary measurements of your penis? It can help you in the long run for actually knowing just how much you have lost or regained back in your size if any.
