Why is the implant only available for older men with ED/Peyronies Disease?

Going through many peyronies forums seems the happiest people who have been treated for the disease are those with implants. No further size loss, pain, drugs with side effects, fixes deformities that causes bends and no problem with erections. Many men report how happy they are with a happy satisfaction rate of 90%+

Whereas the recommended treatments:

Shockwave, Xiaflex, Plication, Grafts, Have extremely low satisfactory rates, infact the Surgical treatments will most likely make you lose length, and on top of that due to the surgery also a good chance you will get ED anyway which will make you need.....

An implant.

Urologists and Peyronies Specialists also need to stop the impression young men cannot get peyronies simply due to just their age, you wouldnt say that its unheard of for a child to get cancer just because the AVERAGE age is high.

Many young men are seeking implants because we know its the best option and will probably need in the long run anyway especially with it starting at a young age.

Seems like young men with Peyronies are just backed in a corner with treatments we know are risky and expensive and will 100% regret in the future purely based on the fact they wont get approved for their age? Dont understand why its easier for me to get a vaginaplasty at my age than to fix my dick the way I WANT to fix it.

Even if i have the money, understand the full risks, thought it through and the logic is there why do urologists force the idea on young men that you MUST do everything in your power to get ur natural dick EVEN if it results in being tiny back no matter what your opinion on it is.

Posts of a young man who pleaded for an implant in 2018, told he would never get approved, tried to go for assisted suicide due to not being approved, he got accepted in 2023 due to this but then cancelled because he would lost more length due to the surgery, for this reason he cancelled because he would have gone from 7.5inch originally to 4.5inch with girth not able to fill a condom simply due to him being refused earlier. Hasnt been online since November.

You need to take into consideration that peyronies can be resolved through other less invasive means. The problem is that many men want it now and cannot bear the thought of a long term treatment plan so to speak. Implants do solve things for many men and are a great success. The main issue with an implant are the many revisions a man needs to have done throughout his lifetime - not to mention getting a high volume surgeon to do it.  I am not sure as to the average time frame, but Hawk would know all about this. I believe it is roughly every 10 or so years. So if an 18 year old gets an implant and needs a revision every 10 years that is calculated at about 6 times he will have to have this done to bring him close to 80. As I have stated hopefully Hawk can chime in here ..:)

How about limiting yourself to the less invasive procedures that do not cause permanent damage? You can always fall back to an implant if they don't work. Also, weigh the trauma of, say Xiaflex gone wrong, with that of an implant and the multiple lifetime revisions that entails.

What is the complications with multiple revisions? ved device + traction i agree is a good treatment along with cialis but the other treatments injections surgeries etc, are just too risky. If it even cost me 0.5 of an inch i wouldnt do it. Especially considering this will be the same penis i will have for the next 60+ years.

Fake long dick > Real short dick

Also since im young i dont want my life to just be treating my dick also ik will be hard for me to be consistant because of brain fog/adhd , had so many plans to make something of myself but this just puts a massive halt on me. Feel like im the only young person dealing with this only just got back my self confidence through my dick and sexual experiences then this happens. God hates me, life sucks.

I was referring to the trauma of the surgery in my last post, and not permanent damage. Implants do have a 1%-3% chance of infection, some risk of erosion of the glans if your prosthesis is over sized etc.

Can Xiaflex lead to permanent damage? I know it can cause penile fracture, but that shouldn't cause permanent damage if treated conservatively by wrapping as Dr Trost suggests.
