Hi everyone!

I posted my situation in the intro section but the jist of it is that I was told by my primary care physician after a cursory exam that I have peyronie's and waiting on an appt with a urologist in 12 days. I have radically changed my diet, implemented water fasting every other day, started taking cold showers, using heat therapy, etc, and my penis seems less inflamed. I am still getting very hard and straight nighttime erections, although last night had pain in the area where penis has curved while semi-erect which was alarming.

I have a question for some of the more experienced members of this forum: is it possible to have palpable plaque but minimal, if no, curve / deformity? Is that something you've heard of?

I'm asking because it feels like I do have collagen in certain areas but, the largest of which, I don't think is new. I actually thought it was just a ridge on my penis or maybe a vein for years, but never caused pain and, frankly, maybe I'm just imagining it. But I don't think so.

Anyway, I'm just curious if that's something members have experienced / heard of. Also, I'm very nervous about the tri-mix injection for the ultra sound. Has anyone heard of alternative methods of achieving an erection prior to the ultra sound?

Thanks again for the insight and strength and solidarity to you all!

Possible injury 7/23, pain / irritation starting 8/23, noticed curve when semi-erect 12/23 which seemed to become more pronounced 1/24, but erections still straight & seemingly full
Doctor said it's peyronie's referred me to uro, awaiting appt

Yes peyronies affects each man a little differently. Plaques and indentations can and cannot be felt or seen sometimes. Curvatures can appear over night sometimes. I would no worry or stress about the injection. It is painless and will give a bitter picture for the ultrasound. Stop stressing over it.

Thank you for the reply! So, my understanding is that, yes, it's theoretically possible to have plaque / collagen but no curving.

It's so strange. I wonder if it has to do with the elasticity of the collagen or whether it fully replaces the tunica or is built on top. I'm still learning about this but it seems so much about it is still unknown.
